Acting is bad and the fight choreography needs more work. They made the lead role act like a child in man's clothing. This didn't fit his roll. The only thing good about this show is that it moves along at a decent pace.

First, Finn Jones is horrible as Iron Fist, and no, it's not because he's white (I've never really had too much of a problem with that). He seems confused, his acting is mediocre at best, and ironically, he literally looks like he doesn't know what to do with his hands (er, "fist"). The show is incredibly racially insensitive and doesn't exactly have the best portrayals of Asians.

Rosario Dawson reprises her role as nurse Claire Temple, originally from Daredevil, and at this point, her character's sole purpose seems to be reminding us that these shows are linked together.

One of the very few highlights of the show was Colleen Wing (portrayed by Jessica Henwick). She's actually pretty good. Her character is really the only well-written character in the series.

The (few) fight scenes are incredibly dull and boring, and it shocks me to have to say this about a Marvel Studios property. They're unoriginal, underwhelming, and downright bad. The entire show is unoriginal and seems like a ripoff of every superhero movie ever.

This show is frustrating on every level. Finn Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist is a disgrace to the character. I honestly hope that The Defenders can manage to be better than this.

Seriously, if The Defenders is bad, I'm gonna start crying or something.

If this was THE FLASH, it might explain why a character is able to defy physics enough to make such large movements in the time it takes an arm to swing a 12-inch arc, but still, as a martial response, it was the most idiotic thing I've ever seen. "You're throwing a punch, let me block you with some ballet." At every moment, the performers know where the next move is coming from and what it's going to be; the fight choreography would make zero sense if the fighters didn't already know what move was coming next. It's like watching six-year-olds at wushu practice, except clumsier and less intelligent. Expand

I say that because this show drags like a snail. 4 episodes in and I find myself fast forwarding the scenes as they repeat themselves, drag a slow story-line along, or simply bore me to death. What's the opposite of "Marvel?" ... Annoying, dragging, indecisive. A lengthy melodrama that has some good technical points and stand-out actors, but fails overall to engage under the orchestration of a dull, dragging, unnecessary script! Predictable and what's not predictable doesn't add to any excitement. This series is the definition of Mental Garbage.

You might like this if you're 6 years old and it's the first karate show you've seen. You probably wouldn't notice the terrible acting, predictable plot, unoriginal story, and mediocre action scenes. This is the worst new release on Netflix in years and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The fact it has 4-5 stars on the rating system tells me a lot about the average Netflix user ..smh..

This is by far the most horrendous Marvel production yet made. Baaaaaaad.

I love Finn Jones but my god this show sucked so hard. Terribly filmed action scenes, Painfully predictable plot and god awful acting by the cast. It's like they tried to merge Daredevil and Arrow and it failed to epicly. I love the character Iron Fist and this show did not do him justice at all. They need to end it now.

The main problem of this show is the main character. He so stupid and naive. Actor is totaly misscasting! He looks like a weak and unprepared. Just a pretty boy, not the strongest fighter in MCU. Fighting and story is also bad

Was actually a pretty good show. Th e 2 things that were the most disappointing were the fight scene that were lacking with Danny. Second was character personality of Danny. Felt lacking as well. But the show actually has good promise for the future and is a great launching for the Defenders.

OK s this show is arrow season 1 with less jokes and more production money, also oliver queen has no bow and arrow and is somewhat a ny hipster with great callouses, he also looks like an unshaved loras tyrell, The only good thing of the series? it is just interim filler for the defenders, but that is just wasting your time. Simply wait for the defenders and ignore this.

You can tell Netflix is sensitive about this turd-blossom. I tried to review Iron Fist on the site and I'm locked out of being able to review it. This is horrible. Finn Jones is wooden and the dialogue is cliche driven and stilted. I keep rooting for the Madame Gao of The Hand to win so the series ends. Netflix blew it with Amy Schumer and the losing streak continues with Iron Fist.

None of these have anything to do with plot. They are images that the show uses and none of them are original. The plot is slow in developing, the king fu dancing is terrible even as a dance. David Caradine got the Kung fu job because he was a dancer and I am sure it shows in the old shows.

Everything that billionaire kid Danny Rand has NOT; despite spending 15 years training in a monastery with monk warriors, and no outside western influence. He fails, and fails, and is quite simply an idiot. Hes way too gullible, or as i like to say A SUCKER. What ancient way of life , and organizations of skilled warriors would give this kid the Iron Fist? He doesn't know who he is, deserted his post, and totally failed in the end. To get it right next time Netflix and Marvel must envision "Kung Warrior". "But rich white kids chosen..." No look at me WARRIOR. "But mix privileged white kid with monk..." NO! WAR RI OR!. Goodness gracious white people, you cant white wash everything. Lets all respect realistic boundaries, please. And if anyone thinks this is racist. No, In an attempt to make worlds collide, Iron Fist waters down kung fu in a way that is quite disrespectful and can be looked at as the oh so common need for white people to hijack a culture , and make themselves appear as the dominant ones. Finn Jones is miscast, the villains are decent, the action scenes don't feel "Iron-Fisty". Even the CGI looks bad.
It's disappointing that Netflix's Marvel came from great quality of Daredevil to this. The only good thing about this show was Jessica Henwick, who i cared more

This season is evidence that while Marvel has had a lot of success with both movies and TV shows in recent years, they can still be hit or miss. IF is a huge miss, and it’s disappointing that it’s a miss since the story behind this show could’ve been really engaging and interesting had everything else not been executed so poorly. The writing, directing, action and acting are all nowhere near as good as they are in other Marvel Netflix shows and all should’ve been done differently. The scenes are awkward and don’t flow very well, and the chemistry between the actors isn’t great either, which makes so many moments in the show feel like a drag. The action and martial arts scenes are ok at best and if you’re looking for some really good fight sequences I’d recommend you go look at Daredevil, which has top notch fight choreography. There are also some plainly stupid moments and plot points in the season that just make it ridiculous. There are things that shouldn’t have been included in the season and areas that should’ve gotten a lot more focus. The acting doesn’t help much either; Finn Jones wasn’t the greatest casting choice for Danny Rand and doesn’t play the part the way it deserves to be played. Jessica Henwick does a decent job of portraying Colleen Wing but she isn’t enough to keep the season afloat. There are some moments in the show that have promise, but they don’t generate enough momentum to really get the show going and make it exciting. My best advice with this show is to binge watch it and get it over with as quickly as possible so it doesn’t feel like a joyless slog or to not watch it at all to save yourself the boredom. IF s1 is a big disappointment and I hope the character is able to earn redemption someday, hopefully in the MCU. Expand
