    Marvel's Agent Carter is definitely a TV gem. Peggy Carter emerges on the screen as a glamorous woman who enchants all the viewers and gives this show a different kind of value. Season 2 shows a lot of its good features in two episodes, than the whole first season. Thumbs up for a female Marvel star kicking ass better than you could've expected.

    "Agent Carter" may never be as good as "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," but it is the perfect mid-season gap filler. It's light, well-paced, and has colorful and fun characters. That's what I felt watching the premier last night. I'm glad the show got a second season and excited to see where it goes.

    Well acted and well scripted. Also makes me very excited to see what Marvel does with Dr. Strange. This season improves on everything that made its first season great.

    A smart, interesting, engaging, amazingly well done show, full of action, style, drama, comedic breaks, dialogue, character development, villains and everyday heroes.

    The stylish and highly feministic tv-show is back -- and it succeeds over S01! The plot continues with new, as old characters. Solid chemistry as romance is a great trace -- a huge improvement over S01. The plot is entertaining and somewhat funny, and we even get moral & feministic concepts. Still, the whole show might me a big "meh" for some -- because it can drag along with itsThe stylish and highly feministic tv-show is back -- and it succeeds over S01! Characters often overreact in a stupid way. The antagonist is neither that interesting, the surrounding and smaller villains are way more interesting. But it sure is a classic and interesting show to follow, too bad it got canceled.

    It's a shame that this is the finale and Marvel passed on this show for a show as terrible as Inhumans. The production is spot on as we get into the pulpy happenings of Carter's life.

    Season 2 is also really good. Again it has a good story, the characters are so enjoyable to watch and the twist and humor works well. There are some minor weaknesses too I will go into details below. The season is set not long after the conclusion of last season as there are some developments but it could not be much time (Maybe a few weeks). The season is set not long after the conclusion of last season as there are some developments but it could not be much time (Maybe a few weeks). Daniel Sousa is now leading his own SSR agency in Los Angeles and the team tries to capture Dottie Underwood who escaped them. The story starts with a women found encased in ice in a park. The odd thing is that this happened during a heat wave and that the ice does not melt anywhere how it should. Daniel Sousa requests some backup from the New York SSR and so Peggy Carter ends up there. As expected this is just the tip of the iceberg and start of a greater adventure. The story works well. It is interesting and has some good ideas. To be fair I also say it is a bit stretched and I would say they could cut it down at least by one episode. I like the twists and plots which enhance the story. My main appeal are of cause the characters. Lets start with Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter. Like before she is an awesome main character and fully delivers. Of cause James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis is equally good and together these two made the show so enjoying. They have an awesome chemistry and their interaction aka relationship is a true strength of the show. Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark is even less in this season as before but he is so awesome when he is present. He owns his scenes and his personality is so entertaining. He is a genius, playboy, not grown up, partly a hero and partly a smart-ass. For the others I like Jack Thompson played by Chad Michael Murray. His character arc and development is enjoyable as you always ask yourself where his priorities are. Daniel Sousa by Enver Gjokaj is also really good but it takes a bit for him to shine. Of cause they have Bridget Reagan returning as she was a strong asset in season 1 and I think they had bigger plans if this was not the last season. For the new character they added a lot of quality to the show. Lotte Verbeek as Ana Jarvis is probably the hidden star in the show (I think she was only mentioned in season 1 but I am not entirely sure). Reggie Austin as Jason Wilkes works very well and I hoped that he would also be featured in future seasons. Wynn Everrett is amazing and only weakened by some weaker moments I blame on the script. Ken Marino as Joseph Manfredi is together with Ana Jarvis my favorite addition character wise. Finally Vernon Masters played by Kurtwood Smith is truly a very good addition to the show and love to hate character. We got a great cast in this. Visually the show looks good and this time they use more special effects. As per Marvel standards they have always great effects that enhance the experience. There are some negatives too. Like I said the story is a bit stretched towards the end, a few moments do not deliver and I think I spotted an inconsistency in the story. It is not that serious to lower my rating. I say it is a good season and deserves a 9/10. Sadly this was the last season as it got canceled but I will defend the statement that it was not because of quality issues.… Expand

    The second year kick-off is such an assuredly paced, magnificently teasing run of television that it’s easy to stop lamenting the three-month loss of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s present day agents.

    All told, it’s sort of a shame Agent Carter isn’t more compelling, since the impeccable period trappings and costumes make the series a nice change of pace, at least visually. Get past the surface, though, and it once again looks as if the show has been relegated to the role of little more than handsome placeholder to break up “SHIELD’s” season.
