    LOLA begins so flat, boring and predictable that you have to grudgingly admire Wolf's steadfast commitment to the holiness of the brand, at the expense of any creativity, originality or shock value.

    Regarding the pilot: Skeet Ulrich is too lightweight for his role and had a hard time getting beyond that. Someone with the gravitas of a Russell Crowe would be a good choice. Shawnee Smith gave a weak performance as the twisted mother.
