Jul 30, 2016I had no idea what I was getting into when I decided to watch this. Beautifully shot, deeply emotional, and full of complex human stories. Last Chance is more of an exploration of human motivation and personal aspirations than a simple football reality show. Jeez, it even made me cry a couple times.

Aug 7, 2016Last Chance U isn't literally the greatest thing everyone's ever seen, but that doesn't stop them for loving it. I keep all the last chances and call them first chances while everyone goes to Netflix and see it.

Jul 31, 2016What a show, you could set yourself up as a documentary team a thousand times and not get the sort of outcome this one did. Football, pressure, life choices, desire to win, all wrapped up for coaches & players alike. Recommended.

Aug 3, 2016Amazing, amazing show for any sports fan! I had heard of this documentary but I had no idea just how good it was going to be. The shots were so well done, the sound clear and subtitles at just the right times. The raw emotions gave great insight into exactly what was at stake and who the players were. Well done! Let's have season 2!

Aug 4, 2016One day I just happened upon this show. I had never heard of it and didn't even know it was coming out as I hadn't seen any advertising by Netflix. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Everything just seemed so raw following these aspiring athletes as they chase their dream. I found myself binge watching the entire season in one sitting. I can't wait for the next season.

Aug 8, 2016The show makes you care about these kids and pull for them and their futures after they live. Can't wait for season 2. Also hope that season 2 has more episodes than season 1. I was left wanting more!

Whitely succeeds in the basic goal of Last Chance U, which is to make you care about the success or failure of a JUCO football team in Mississippi. ... Maybe the next four episodes will offer more Scooba, more variations on the redemptive "last chance" theme and perhaps an introduction to a jock willing and able to read "The Most Dangerous Game."

It’s a story at once familiar and unique, and most captivating in its portrait of amateur athletic life as a series of constant challenges--in and out of pads--and a gauntlet of ever-present uncertainties.

While it’s easy to root for these young men, Last Chance U is hardly sentimental about why they’re in such a precarious position.
