There is so much putting the cart before the horse, and when you rack your brain as to why this keeps happening, the only thing that makes sense is that someone or multiple someones in charge just don’t think, deep in their hearts, that the writing is really that important.

It illustrates everything that's wrong with Hollywood. Put simply, it's boring and predictable. It tries to go woke, with a lesbian main character who saves the world. But this character somehow saves the world not with science, but by some kind of emotional-magic pouting about her sadness and grief over her lost girlfriend (Season 1). Really, it's that incomprehensible. And the nonsense (and pouting and crying) continues into Season 2. This stab at global wokeness doesn't somehow further 2SLGBTQIA+ rights but backfires, rendering untrue stereotypes of women as emotional hysterical beings incapable of rational scientific decision-making. Watch this to see how money can be burned by unimaginative, risk-averse writers. The most boring bonfire you'll ever see. Full Review »
