I am so grateful to both her and her son, Christopher, for giving us this delectable gift. I have never seen the Brat Prince so accurate to book and I loved the movie and Queen of the Damned, but this is a masterpiece. Louis' delivery and sophisticated sound of his voice throughout the narration are delectable and thrilling. This is purely a sensual delight!

Vampires, come out...now is your time to shine. ✨

If you have read the books you will notice that the background of some characters, timelines and actions have been changed a bit, new plots and arcs have been included, but the poetry and the essential core of the Vampire Chronicles is all there, some scenes have even entire dialogues with Anne’s prose, it’s like music to the eyes. The cast is phenomenal, everything was thought in detail: art direction, set and costume designs, cinematography, score, writting, especially the witting, everything is so fresh, new, substancial and enjoyable that makes me wonder why it took so long for Lestat, Louis, Claudia and company to get to TV. but now they are all here and it’s a must see. queer as f, human as f, dark, ultra sexy, violent, strong and sometimes deliciously camp, it’s all we love in a vampire horror love story. maybe the most purist fans, some of them full of bias and prejudice, will turn up their noses, which I think is a shame cuz they will not enjoy one of the coolest show of the year. anyhow, forget them: watch without fear, you will not regret it. Great adaptation, reviewers giving it a 0 and complaining about “woke changes” are pathetic.

Very good adaptation and excellent performance. Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid did such an exceptional job! Also love the scenes and music. Every episode got me immersed in it. Can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

There is a reason for every action, every line, and every scene. The sets, story, costumes and character development are all wonderful. The series's greatest strength is its ability to remain fairly true to it's source material while still taking refreshing creative liberties that will feel nostalgic yet unique in its approach. I tend to be a little more on the conservative side, but still found this show to be one of the best tv series I've seen in the last few years. It's inclusive without being "woke". The inclusivity is addressed so well that the series manages to successfully avoid pushing political agendas onto viewers while still addressing social topics of race, sexuality, humanity, and abuse. The characters are all complex and well developed. It does have a certain level of silliness, but still is a poignant and elegant vampire series to be taken seriously. There is an appropriate balance of horror, love, intellect, and mystery written into the story. A wonderful series I hope stays around for years to come. Expand

Outstanding performances by Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid. Those who want a straight book television adaptation will be sorely disappointed. It's more sensual and gayer than ever and I couldn't be any happier because of that. Expand

Captivating and gorgeously written show. The leads have fantastic chemistry. I’ve read the 3 books and I love the changes made while also keeping true to the themes and characters.

The Vampire Chronicles is a difficult universe to adapt, with the film of 1994 being distinctly underwhelming but Jacob Anderson is magnetic in the role of Louis and makes you forget all about it. I can only recommend you to watch the first two episodes because they are truly enjoyable. Expand

The revamped elements of the plot are done cleverly and help proffer credulity. Interview with the Vampire boasts of a stellar cast that bring the best (and worst) of their characters with as much fine detail that's necessary. The styling is effortlessly dark, gothic and flamboyant with great visuals (setting, costume and special effects.) The scenes are consistently paced and enlivened with a well composed and dramatic score.

Interview with the Vampire is easily one of the best shows of 2022.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand
