It’s a startlingly good adaptation of Rice’s book but stands on its own two feet, bring new dimensions to a classic story and having genuine fun delving into parts that were only hinted at in the novel and prior film versions. The competition may be tough this season, but Interview with the Vampire stakes out a serious claim as one of the best TV shows of the year. Read full review

Significantly improving upon the 1994 film, “Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire” does more than just add the late author’s name to the title, ambitiously updating the story, introducing a racial component and serving up plenty of sex and gore. Desperate to replace “The Walking Dead,” AMC might have completed an improbable baton pass from zombies to another kind of undead. Read full review

Fantastic so far! Great performances from Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid, and they have amazing chemistry together as well. Also loved the directing and production design.

It's a very beautiful and different adaptation, I'm in love with this, it's different from the book, but it's incredible on his own way, the core of the characters and story are still there despite the changes, i love it

A wonderfully reimagined version of one of my favorite movies and books. The acting, casting, story and production value all shine. I especially like Jacob Anderson as a new version of Louis. He was great in GoT but this new role really lets him to show his masterfull craft as an actor. TheA wonderfully reimagined version of one of my favorite movies and books. He was great in GoT but this new role really lets him to show his masterfull craft as an actor. The script is intriguing as the writers found a new way to tell the story we all know and love. It becomes a kind of a sequel and deepens and enriches the original characters. I really love that angle, as it keeps the spirit of the story intact but also allows us to be interested in the story - a "what if" version of it. Very cooll! Highly recommend it after first season and hoping that the future ones will rise my final score to a perfect 10!… Expand

It's medium of an interracial homosexual relationship creates the perfect opportunity to explore what the power dynamics would entail especially in such an era. The story should shorten its pace and flesh out its relationship and then might be in line of being a fantastic debut.… Expand

From plantation owner, Louis became a brothel pimp. His journey sure was an unsuccessful one, exactly like this adaptation of Anne Rice's great vampire horror books. Lesson (not) learned is : Do not mess with the original concept.
