Summary: Curtis Boyd was a baptist minister before enrolling in medical school and becoming a doctor. In the sixties, Boyd provided women safe abortion services before the US Supreme Court made them legal, which appalled most people living in East Texas. Thirty years later, Boyd's son, Kyle, tries to straighten out his father's record.
