    It’s a shaggy, ridiculous, tonally inconsistent show, and in the first two episodes, its pacing leaves something to be desired. But it owns its own nuttiness, which allows the audience to adjust its expectations accordingly--and makes for a fun, unexpected journey.

    Lavi is hampered by writing that leaves Maddie intentionally a bit of a cipher and doesn't make her post-Ava character sufficiently flamboyant, but if the entire show hinges on viewers believing that Maddie is a compelling enough spider to lure people into her web, Lavi makes the premise convincing.

It has flaws, undeniably, but is an entertaining, light-hearted and fun series I've enjoyed - surprisingly. Now at episode 6, the story has begun to truly unfold with some uncomfortable challenges for the characters. The viewer still feels left out of the story from time to time, but my guess is the "left out" feeling will likely be addressed as the writers choose to slowly reveal details allowing those holes to be filled. This has been the current trend thus far. I think this would be a wonderful binge-watch. I'd like to see it continue, with some beefier writing.… Full Review »

    There's nothing new here, but enough twists to keep you interested.

    And then there's Ms Lavi. You can't take your eyes off the woman, she's hypnotic.
