    The first episode is fairly execrable, but High Society settles down by the second, and we get a clearer--or at least less-boozy--view of Mortimer and her world.

    Not all Mortimer's posse seems shallow or unpleasant. But collectively they feel like the characters from all those nasty and wonderful 1960s Rolling Stones songs about neurotic rich girls. If only they were as interesting.

    Don't watch not worth your time. These people make me sick! Shame on CBS just another reason to cancel my cable.
