Far and away the best comedy I have seen in 2019. Its biggest problem being that its only 30 minutes per episode.

Animation is as good as anything DC has produced to date. Sound is solid. Casting while seeming a little off given the pedigree of voice actors surrounding DC animated works, it makes sense as it helps to give this incarnation its own unique spin. Even the much complained about Kaley Cuoco does an outstanding job while even leaving an after taste of Arleen Sorkin's Jersey girl we all know and love.

That is where this show shines. While determined to be its own thing it has respect and even drops little Easter eggs here and there to tie it back to the history of the last quarter century of Batman and related media. From the comics, to cartoons to films it interconnects back with such simplicity and ease. The writing itself is as smart as it is smart mouthed.

So definitely the funniest show Ive seen in 2019, even compared to fan favorite things like Rick and Morty. I laughed out loud more in the first 5 minutes (of an episode that they chopped huge chunks of for trailers, mind you) during HQ than all of what I have at this season of R&M.

So why are you still reading this? Watch it and see for yourself.

An extremely gripping story with excellent comedy and action alongside a wonderfully played out love story. It features an amazing main character that really does grow, learn, and develop and it has a truly fantastic supporting cast.

In this show, Harley Quinn breaks up with the Joker and decides to make a name of herself in the world of crime by forming her own gang. I loooooooved this show!

Harley Quinn is one of those programs that is lucky enough that it starts out swinging and doesn't need to find its legs. The show is really, really fun with a wide cast of great characters. It also has a continuing story and under all the comedy does a good of providing an emotional backbone to Harley's journey.

Kaley Cuoco (Penny from The Big Bang Theory) is excellent as the voice of Harley. I actually liked her better than Margot Robbie's performance, and bare in mind that I liked Robbie. Poison Ivy (Childrens Hospital's Lake Bell) is Harley's sassy straight man, and I think she is hands down the best television/film adaptation of the character ever. She and Harley have an excellent chemistry and the writers and actresses do a great job selling how two very different people are best friends. I'd love to go into detail on the strengths of the supporting and recurring cast, but I just don't have the time to discuss them all and the wonderful acting talent behind them. Just be prepared for some really clever reinterpretations of some DC comics characters.

The animation looks nice, too. Characters manage to look humorous but still fit the superhero mold. Be prepare that this MA-rated show can be very, very, very violent. Since this is a show about supervillains, things can go really dark, too.

Overall, I can't recommend this enough. Everything comes together so well.

Quite possibly the greatest thing the DC universe has ever created. Funny, silly, serious, gorgeously animated. The voice acting is exceptional. It's a superhero story that actually has something to say, and its entertaining as heck while it does it.

It opens with a funny joke about how the rich like to **** up the poor just to become richer and then continues to roll with even funnier jokes involving how Harley is treated as a sidekick to the Joker, much to her dismay. The series is extremely violent and crude, however, this type of behavior fits these characters and rarely feels out of place; there's something almost funny about seeing a character like Harley get so frustrated she cusses out a whole room of people.

This is definitely made for an older crowd, being inappropriate in a multitude of ways, but it never feels try-hard; it's a breath of fresh air in the adult animated shows, standing out as a pure comedy next to all these shows that like to talk about how depressing adult life is. If you enjoy Harley Quinn, or Poison Ivy (since she's prominent within the show and is arguably one of the best renditions of the character), or if you like DC in general, then this is definitely a show for you.

Harley Quinn is an incredibly popular character right now which, I feel, has made the character in the comics rather annoying--they've tried to make her the DC's Deadpool and that do that incredibly unsuccessfully. However, in this show, Harley is her own character. She's funny, abrasive, driven, love-struck, etc. This characterization of Harley has taken her down from an incredibly annoying character to quite possibly my favorite character within DC animated media. This is a different type of DC cartoon than the ones fans are use to. "It's got comedy, action, incredibly gratuitous violence" - Harley Quinn
If you don't like cursing and gore in your comic book shows, then this might turn you off to it. But if you do like those things, then Harley Quinn will be an entertaining experience. The characters are great and the voice actors do them justice (how can you not like the Tudyk). The interactions between the characters feel natural and unforced. As for the comedy, it can be hit or miss for some. You won't be rolling on the floor in every scene but it did get a couple of chuckles out of me and had me grinning the whole time. The tone of the show can seem very "adult swim" at times. The art is great as well and the animation doesn't feel cheap yet. When it comes down to it, Harley Quinn is an enjoyable adult cartoon with DC characters. It's about time.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I just watched the first 2 seasons on HBO max. I liked it but it had some flaws. Ill start with the bad. a lot of cursing to the point where it was just excessive and just felt forced while i enjoyed the show this really just started getting irritating after a while. I also felt at times they dragged out certain points like the relationship with Ivy and Quinn. I personally did not like the putting them together as a romantic pair the way they did it was so drawn out it got me very annoyed and just was very annoying and felt forced in a way with how drawn out it was. I also was not nearly as fond of harley as the other characters. She was actually pretty annoying and sometimes her voice became grating especially when she got louder which was just irritating. I was not really fond of how they used nora fries though i felt they just shoo horned her in and paired her with zeus which was bizarre and I felt it ruined her character and the idea of true love that was presented to harley.

The good. I love the cast. My favorite thing was Ivy and Kiteman. It felt like a genuine goofy couple being goofy together. I also loved how absurd some of the characters are my favorite was Kiteman and how you looked at him like an **** who was just hitting on her but when you get into them its an awkward guy trying to impress a girl he really likes and acts like a dork doing so. I also loved the crew members. Dr. Psycho, Clayface and King shark were fantastic additions to harleys crew and really help her stand out as a character. They had great dynamic and bounced off of each other greatly which made them all stand out in their own way. Clayface was really fun and dynamic. King shark felt like a nerd joining a new group of friends and Dr. Psycho the one who pushes harley to be a worse person. It does a great job exploring harley's wide spectrum. I love how practical Ivy is and the landlord Sy was also great. Just had a fantastic cast. I loved the Ivy and Kiteman stuff and how it explored them as people rather than super villains. I also loved the joker and felt that he was a great motivator for Harleys actions and him moving on in season 2 shows how a someone like him can grow as a character. Overall I think its a good but flawed show. I think the shows biggest problem is that it likes to get in its own way with how it handles character development. Some of the characters they brought back were unecessary and kind of ruined some of the lessons that harley learned. Nora Fries being the biggest notice. I also felt they dragged out the harley and Ivy thing which was really annoying but i feel its a show with potential and great promise and if they are doing a season 3 i hope they make the payoff worth it.

I've still been going through withdrawals after running out of episodes. I love that all of these DC characters have been reinterpreted in a comedic way, but still feel in line with their mythos. There's plenty of references to other DC properties, Harley's New 52 comic run, and general pop culture, but it doesn't rely on it, and I feel even a casual DC fan would enjoy it. The show also has a lot of good-hearted and inclusive messages but always in a comedic light, so I don't think it ever feels in-your-face unless you're someone who disagrees with their values to an aggressive degree.

The voice-acting is all great and I was really surprised with how much I loved Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn. I feel very tied to Margot Robbie in the movies and Tara Strong in older cartoons and videogames, but Kaley adds such a solid staple to the character. Just a great sense of comedic-timing, natural line-readings, and more humanity to the character. The relationship between Harley and Ivy might be my favorite portrayal of them so far.

I have a love-hate relationship with DC animation, some of their movies just feel really stiff and lifeless to me. But this show is very exuberant and stylish, even in the casual conversations. The action is really fun to watch and gets especially brutal at times, sometimes leaning too heavily on shock-value but it definitely gives the show a lot of personality.

My only nitpick is the first season had me dying laughing just about every episode while the second season was still funny but it's more dramatic narrative didn't deliver jokes at the same speed. It had its own strengths because I definitely cared much more about all the characters, but I hope the third season finds a more even balance between the two.

People complaining about her relationship with Joker as well need to realise that it's her character arc throughout the season. He's an important part of her story and origin, so she needs to get away from that. For me I found the series funny and intentionally over the top. Most of the villains are played for laughs so people complaining about that need to reassess the series' tone. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it!
