    I love the universe of Halo.
    The Series has a good start and is slightly different from the video games but it is still good to see.
    The budget is here so there's a good production value.

    Não assisti muito confiante o primeiro episódio. Mas fui surpreendido pelo que vi. Uma mistura de ação, política e religião. Master Chief realmente é um ser imprevisível.

    Favorite part about this show is how salty it is making these baby Halo fans, sorry this show isn't a frame by frame remake of the original trilogy. Maybe its time to grow up and stop sucking the Bungie nostalgia teet.

    Jokes aside, the first episode was great. Not perfect but completely enjoyable.     I absolutely loved the 1st episode! Amazing action, CG, and quite a nice character arc to the Chief so far! I honestly don't know what more people could want here.

    Dia Erste Folge hat mir sehr gut gefallen, mann merkte das viel investiert wurde.
    Am Anfang war ich etwas skeptisch, aber schon in der ersten Hälfte der Folge geht richtig los.
    Mal schauen was die nächsten Folgen bringen.

    I had a great surprise when I saw the show, excellent photography, the story begins before Cortana, the action is for a mature audience, which I loved, I felt something similar to when I saw the movie KickAss where blood and other things are seen. The armors, the vehicles, the weapons, all faithful to the video game, with great production quality.     Tuve una gran sorpresa al ver la serie, excelente fotografía, la historia inicia desde antes de Cortana, la acción es para audiencia madura, lo cual me encanto, sentí algo parecido a cuando ví la película KickAss donde se aprecia sangre y otras cosas.     Génial, le 1ere épisode est top, une série SF de grande classe, étant fan des jeux, cela me fait plaisir d'avoir l'univers de Halo conté dans un nouveau format. Hate de découvrir la suite !

    Lots of action, but lots more drama which is what I was hoping for! The Halo universe is alive even if it's a separate timeline. Hoping the rest of the season gets even better!

    Un excelente inicio de Serie seas Fan de Halo o no te podría gustar no busques las historias de los juegos también hay libros y de ellos es donde más estará el apego a la Serie, incluso amantes de la Ciencia Ficción podría gustarles, las actuaciones de voz se ven geniales y se espera con ansias el próximo capítulo de la serie

    Updated review - lots of good ingredients, but it fell short of perfection. Lead actor well chosen as were most of the spartans cast.. Season 1 just didn't have the epic feel that I was hoping for

    Strong first episode. As a fan of the games, I really enjoyed it. Differs enough to be it's own story yet still feels familiar. Left me wanting more and I'm curious to see where the series is headed.
    Probably wasn't woke enough for Brian Lowry over at CNN, and that's a good thing...

    It's nice.
    I went in watching the first episode knowing that this is it's own universe and that there would be many differences, and I had a good time. The only gripe I have is Chief's voice. He sounds like he is desperately trying to sound cool, and it doesn't work that well.

    There were many adaptations such as Halo Legends (2010), Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (2012), Halo: Nightfall (2014), Halo: The Fall of Reach (2015). For me, 2022 one is the best.

    Very good the series is a good adaptation from game to series like most of the series but it disappointed a little and some aspects but I think that and why and the first episode let's wait and see

    (have only watched the first episode so far)

    I like it.

    It's not great, it's not terrible.

    But it has 117, and he kicks Covenant ass. What more do you want from Halo?

    The only tragedy is that we don't have Steve Downes voice. He IS the Master Chief.

    Baaam thats an Entry! The first episodes gave me as a video game nerd shivers! The VFX are top noch, the Charakters, Ships, Sound Effects are shown as they should. If you liked the games you love the show and if you are new to the material its high level scifi with a good production value! I cant wait to see more of it!

    As a Halo fan from the very beginning, I very much enjoyed this first episode. The first action scene had be smiling — the visuals and sounds were absolute fan service. I am also interested in where they take the story. By setting this show in an alternate time-line, it opens the franchise to new stories and new mysteries. I think this show will please many Halo fans! However, I think Master Chief removing his helmet won't be received that warmly from some — but honestly he's taken his helmet off in the novels and we've seen him without it in the games (if briefly), so I doesn't really bother me. I just hope it happens sparingly on the show. I really like the tone set by this first episode, and I hope it keeps this quality going forward. I'm glad they are build their own story out of the mythology. Good episode!… Expand

In the seconds before the helmet crisply hisses into place, Schreiber’s eyes say it all: he is our modern folk hero, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117. As a long time and avid Halo fan, who has read all of the Halo literature up to Greg Bear’s Forerunner Saga and has played all of the games several times over, including the original Bungie Marathon series when it was only available on Mac (ca. 1994-1997), I feel that my credentials as a fan are in fairly good order. This TV series is brilliant! The screenwriters have worked diligently to draw from and combine all of the literary sources into a digestible program for general audiences. This show has — in my opinion — everything that long-term fans and newcomers alike should be able to appreciate and enjoy. There are several negative reviews of this show being promulgated by supposed “fans” of the franchise, who apparently don’t appreciate that this show is intended for everyone, not just the familiar few (like myself). Negative reviews about “diversity hiring” are misplaced and moored in the vengeful tit-for-tat antics of adult-children glued to Twitter. The casting of all characters in this show is right on the money. These petulant complaints are reflective of the modern political zeitgeist and have no place in criticisms of a show about a fictional 26th century, at which time we can only hope that humanity will have shed its race-based tribalism. As a white male in his early thirties, I understand complaints about historically-themed TV shows using out of place casting, but in no way is this the case here.

    I created a Metacritic account for the sole purpose of defending this masterpiece. Yes, some episodes are less interesting than others (e.g. episode 7), but they are all fairly well-written and executed. I wait with baited breath to see what Halo has in store for us next, and I hope that many of you reading this will join me on this worthy adventure. Sincerely,

    Far better than has been spoken about, but a painfully short first episode - The CGI in the first 20 minutes is sub-par, but after that, it starts to get much better. Not Bad.

    He visto 2 Episodios, me han parecido impresionantes el primer episodio lleno de accion y muestran mas como es la Guerra entre Covenant y UNCS y tambien nos muestran la parte de los civiles o resistencias como se desarrollan en una guerra tan grande y devastadora.

    Muestra como es de brutal el Covenant, me parece bien que en el apartado de brutalidad de la serie sea tan vasta algo que no    He visto 2 Episodios, me han parecido impresionantes el primer episodio lleno de accion y muestran mas como es la Guerra entre Covenant y UNCS y tambien nos muestran la parte de los civiles o resistencias como se desarrollan en una guerra tan grande y devastadora.

    Muestra como es de brutal el Covenant, me parece bien que en el apartado de brutalidad de la serie sea tan vasta algo que no hemos visto casi ni en los videojuegos.

    El CGI no esta nada mal, solo es cuestion de mejorar la primera persona y no abusar tanto de ella, en general el primer capitulo me parecio arriba de las expectativas algo muy bueno que no habíamos visto en una adaptacion de Halo como tal.

    La decisión de los escritores de no sentirse limitados tanto por los juegos y libros para poder desarrollar un universo completamente diferente y poder disfrutarlo como algo diferente a los videojuegos mas que nada algo televisivo y que nunca nos esperaríamos impresionándonos con cada capitulo.

    El segundo capitulo es algo mas tranquilo explica los personajes y como son cada uno de ellos, te vas encariñando con cada uno y algo mas de drama en este capitulo, me parecio perfecto para poder avanzar con la serie, el apartado visual de este segundo capitulo es maravilloso.

    I was spellbound by this Tv Series, I mean it's one thing to play the video game but this! They actually brought all that into life and the costumes! Amazing stuff, ignore the naysayers and have a look-see yourself.

    Where this all goes and whether the balance tips more toward character and story or more toward video game-like battle scenes is unclear, but if the first two episodes are any indication, character stories will win out. As long as that remains the case, I’ll gladly go along for this sci-fi ride.

    The obvious parallels are with The Mandalorian, another show about a seemingly invincible, murderous space warrior who embarks on a path towards becoming a total sweetie. If that’s the long-term plan here, neither the show nor Schreiber has quite nailed it yet.
