Hacks is at its best in moments like that, when it highlights life at its most simultaneously hilarious and wrenching. It just takes a little while for it to reach those scenes this time around. ... Season two is much looser and, like a stand-up tour, jumps from place to place without clearly addressing its broader ideas.

She’s up there in age now, she’s type 1 diabetic and apparently she’s had some health issues, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for her. Full Review »

Exploring family, failure and growth Deborah and Ava are a pleasure to watch as each exploit becomes more chaotic. Putting them on the road was a wise decision that not only expands the setting but allows for more chaos to ensue. Jean Smart is brilliant and her co star hopds her own pretty well. Full Review »
