All, with the help from each other to get them through the obstacles that life naturally has for us. Monica is the excessively neat and organized "older sister" of the group, who works as a chef while yearning to find her ideal love. Ross, Monica's older brother, is a paleontologist with a lifelong crush on Rachel. He is a laid-back man with low self esteem and a recent divorcee. Rachel is the pretty, bubbly girl who spent most of her life as a spoiled rich princess. Now she must learn to face the real world. Chandler is Ross' college buddy and the guy who will crack jokes at a moment's notice. Phoebe is a lovable eccentric masseuse who easily could have fit in with Haight Ashbury in the 1960s. And Joey, the friend who has an inverse relationship between his good looks and his intelligence. He dreams of becoming an actor. These six individuals make up the cast of Friends. In May 2004, Friends officially ended it's phenomenal 10 year run. The show's time slot was taken over by a spin-off called Joey.… Expand

At its best, Friends operates like a first-rate Broadway farce, complete with slamming doors, twisty plots, and intricately strung together jokes. Friends comes across like a 30-minute commercial for Dockers or Ikea or light beer, except it's smuttier. One character says he dreamed he had a telephone for a penis and when it rang, "it turns out it's my mother." And this is in the first five minutes...Another ghastly creation from professional panderers Marta Kauffman and David Crane, the witless duo who do "Dream On" for HBO, Friends is more a scripted talk show than a sitcom. You keep waiting for Sally Jessy or some other cluck to interrupt the jabbering. The show is so bad that Sally Jessy would actually come as a relief. [22 Sept 1994, p.D1]

This show really appeals to all ages. Most generations can watch it and relate in some way. I really like it in the fact that it is one of those shows where you become so invested in the characters that you find the events in the show actually effecting you emotionally. It's easy to getThis show really appeals to all ages. Most generations can watch it and relate in some way. I really like it in the fact that it is one of those shows where you become so invested in the characters that you find the events in the show actually effecting you emotionally. It's easy to get carried away watching this show. For the younger generation like myself, watching this show really makes you feel warm inside because we have a chronic fear that when we graduate college that our lives are over. This show sets the characters in their upper 20s and it is so refreshing to see people act the way they do and live the way they do in this show. It gives you some hope that the best days of your life still might lie ahead. Most of us assume we peak in high school or in college, but if you look at Ross, he doesn't peak until very late in the show. Overall it really appeals to millennials like me because for once it makes us want to embrace life. It makes us want to embrace the journey that we are about to be faced with. Overall, it is a wonderful show that you can pick up anywhere in the season and still greatly enjoy it.… Expand

This show is my all time favourite of ... well all time.

Priceless and genius. Is one of the few shows where I don't care what episode or season I watch. I can just close my eye's and pick a disk from my collection and watch it. The show is painfully funny and each character has a jokeThis show is my all time favourite of ... well all time.

Friends. Season 1. I'll Be There for You. How long have I put off watching this series. What a fool I was. Friends is deservedly one of the best comedy series. Great and funny jokes as well as interesting and funny main characters!

Propably the most re-watchable tv series ever made. Talking about value for money :P lol. Fun at all times and emotional at others. A very feel-good watch. Just brilliant!

I can genuinely say that this is my favorite TV show ever, thank you to the creators for doing such an amazing show, and the cast, all of them should be recognize for their fantastic work in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. A Well made 1st season for a Highly Rated Sitcom.
The characters and situations were amazingly developed, some episodes were so engaging i didn't even notice the time and how many episodes i completed it's just that good of a starting season.

It sucks all the life out of you. After just 5 minutes you feel so tired and want to commit suicide. It's so terrible that I can't even find words to describe how terrible it is. The acting is horrible, the jokes are horrendous and the characters are atrocious. I think this show is truelyIt sucks all the life out of you.
