Summary: Two male ob-gyn's in their 30'scenter this adult-themed comedy. Three witty female friends fill out the cast, with the pilot's episode centered on the recent pairing up, divorcing, still searching for the one, and blissfully satisfying tedium of wedded life of the various characters.

The scenes flow smoothly, with situations that closely mirror many of the realities of late adulthood/early mid-life. The married couple sit on the couch and watch TV with a friend who has moved in while in denial of his impending divorce. The wife breast-pumps milk with nonchalance, and the friend points out that Leftie isn't keeping up; a new character enters through the front door and with equal nonchalance hugs the mother, and questions Leftie's production.
Another friend enters to lament her status as the only single person in their group, and quickly flashbacks to all the deal-breakers in recent dates. To a challenge from the divorce-denying friend, she agrees to a blind date to prove she isn't superficial.
The recently paired up friend has comical moments with her new beau, and the married ob-gyn and his wife are stricken with the admiration of the title-theme: Friends with Better Lives.
The laughs are honest, sharp, and frequent. I hope there are more episodes soon!… Expand
