First Kill (The Musical) is probably a great story, but I couldn’t really get into the story with all the distracting songs. Directors need to trust and believe that the writing and acting will connect viewers to the story. Directors need to trust and believe that the writing and acting will connect viewers to the story. I counted at least fourteen (14) songs in the first episode, eight songs played in the first nine minutes. While I did like the songs, it was just too much and very distracting. I plan to finish watching but will need to take it slow to really give the series a chance.
