This is one amazing show. The writing is absolutely superb! They subtly tackle worldwide issues but also look into the little everyday issues that can affect a family, especially once money is involved. While I am not a big Terrance Howard fan, the rest of the acting crew is absolutelyThis is one amazing show. The writing is absolutely superb! It was incredible. Such a great premiere. I loved Cookie, she had so many great lines. I am really interested in the dynamics of the characters. That's the show I love.

I don't know why but season 2 didn't feel as interesting as the first one. I must say that it doesn't mean that the series got bad but it fell a little bit. Let's hope for season 3 to be much better and go back to what it was.

"Empire" was the surprise hit of the winter, and I was excited to see what they'd do for season two. The problem with the premier is that everything seemed heightened in this episode, and not in a good way. I'd almost call it over-the-top. While the plot turns towards the over the top category, Empire is nevertheless a well acted, soapy show with fantastic music and interesting characters.
