The story is really boring and all over the place. None of the characters are very likeable and the main character literally is a rip off of guts from berserk, even though in DOTA the same character looks nothing like Guts.

Terrible voice acting, especially if you manage to click the English dub. I don't know where they found these guys but it was probably from the 1990's dragon ball Z

Terrible voice acting, especially if you manage to click the English dub. I don't know where they found these guys but it was probably from the 1990's dragon ball Z that had terrible voice acting that created memes like 'It's over 9000!'.

I can't believe I even made it through this series.

There should be a requirement that if a story is below a certain threshold of competence, the animation should have to be at least watchable. DOTA: Dragon's Blood is that rare abomination in which the story and art seem to be competing for last place. Execrable is a strong word; it's also a bit too generous.

Though DOTA: Dragon’s Blood features some interesting elements here and there, overall it attempts to weave too many plot elements into one episode, which will undoubtedly become an issue as the series wears on. It’s also somehow less interesting than playing the game.

At its best, Dragon’s Blood lives up to that [opening] shot, concocting vibrant visuals that evoke the game’s rich history, but, for the most part, the show loses itself in inaccessible esoterica. Like war, exile, and scaly metamorphosis, it’s all quite messy.
