    This is absolutely epic. I think the critics who gave this anything less than an eighty are absolutely crazy. This show was pure awesomeness, from the first minute and it didn't let up until the credits. The characters were awesome, the story was awesome, the visual effects were awesome, everything was just awesome. I have a feeling this is the next great superhero show.

    I can;t wait to see where they'll go in the second season as the JSA is introduced and some of the past core is retired. The best superhero team TV series yet and it's great that they have learned to have LOTS of special effects on a television budget. There's more in a single episode here than in the entire megabudget first Superman movie.     What a great first episode! The White Canary looks amazing! The banter that takes place with Firestorm is great. Vandal Savage is an epic bad guy. And captain cold is done absolutely perfectly. A great superhero mashup in the making.

    Very good series. Nice team dynamics and interesting story. They work well together because of their different personalities, and one thing that really digs me here is the fact there is no "main" character.
    The dialogues are good, and some characters are very easy to relate to: The Atom, for example, is the kind of person who wants to make a difference, but despite of his good intentions,    Very good series.     The dialogues are good, and some characters are very easy to relate to: The Atom, for example, is the kind of person who wants to make a difference, but despite of his good intentions, screw things up sometimes. But this happens in a fun and light way. Heatwave, on the other hand, follows the “brute” archetype, but is also a very funny character. And what impress me in the series is that the “comic relief” characters are funny without being idiots, something VERY hard to see nowadays in this media.

    Bottm line: This is a well done superhero team story.    … Expand

    This is a really wonderful show, and I enjoyed it so far. The action scenes are very awesome and well done! This show really puts an unexplored trio power pack of Captain Cold, Heatwave, and White Canary. For me, this is absolutely a legend.

    So far, very enjoyable and fun! Leaving me at the edge and wanting more! Love the star wars references! Arrow and flash fans arent the only ones who need to watch, but a brush up on the 2 episodes the shows cross over together really help when you watch them before the pilot obviously.

    I only started watching this show because of the partners in crime Snart and Rory, but as I continued watching, I found that I really liked some of the other characters as well. I never really enjoyed the hawk gods, but Sara the assassin and Ray the overgrown puppy dog made the show more action filled and, dare I say, adorable.     definitely a must watch for all whovians and time-travelling lovers. it does have close resemblance to the giant of TV series "Doctor Who", but with more DC's dark universe signature. with a little bits and bobs here and there, this might become a good series like The Flash and Arrow

    glad to know that the lines of the characters have improved. .. better eps so far the 6!

    the development of the characters in "Prision Breakers" is better, the lines Breakers Dr Stein are consistent and Sara is becoming a major character in fact next to Rip.

    Pretty good first episode so far. Production value is great for a tv series, with decent special effects and good fight scenes and cinematography. The dialogue is fun and cheesy in the way that you expect, but still has some more serious moments. The character development is a little stifled by the large cast, and there are some questionable character decisions, but hopefully that willPretty good first episode so far. Speeding thru the introduction of Rip Hunter and the Time Council made for a clunky beginning of the series, with a headlong rush to shove the cast of characters together, It would have been time well spent to build up rather than jump in to the main story line. Good chemistry between the characters, especially enjoyed the Canary, Heat Wave & Capt. Cold refusing just to sit around and agreeing they could use a drink in a '70's bar. It has great potential, as long as it doesn't bog down in storyline at the expense of character buildup and their interaction.… Expand

    What an awesome way to start! I have seen lots of pilot episodes of TV shows and I think this is one of the strongest ones I've seen. Explains everything it needs to be explained, it's funny, emotional, has the right amount of action, the visual effects are on point and the acting too. Especially Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), he really stole the show.

    I don't give a higher score just because it's a two-parter and I'm waiting to see the other part yet. But overall I thought it was really good; this year we're not having Doctor Who, but at least we're having Legends of Tomorrow.     This show is not for everyone, but I like it. It breaks it's own rules and has lots of plot holes but if you want a fun show with insteresting characters and good charater dynamic, this show is for you. Also, the yearly crossovers with the rest of the CW DC show are fun to watch.

Rip Hunter gets a little annoying after season 1 and the team changes a lot, which is both good and bad.     As a fan of Arrow and The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow is a worthy entry into the Arrowverse. It is by far the least grounded of the three; both literally and figuratively. Armed with a time-travelling spaceship, a team of supporting characters and the bad guy from the Arrow S4 / Flash S2 crossover (with a similar premise), there's certainly a lot of interesting adventures to be had. IfAs a fan of Arrow and The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow is a worthy entry into the Arrowverse. It is by far the least grounded of the three; both literally and figuratively. Armed with a time-travelling spaceship, a team of supporting characters and the bad guy from the Arrow S4 / Flash S2 crossover (with a similar premise), there's certainly a lot of interesting adventures to be had. If you're willing to ignore or not think too much about some of the questionable science with regards to time travel paradoxes and don't take the story too seriously, Legends of Tomorrow excels at bringing out the best in all of the characters. Whilst a tad cheesy and lacking in impactful cliffhanger endings, at its heart there is a good fun show here. I particularly like the idea of the team travelling to different time periods and seeing how the world was / will be. What I would've liked to see more of though is variation in the story, as for the entire thing they're trying to bring down Vandal Savage; which is fine except that the side-stories feel too marginal and unimportant compared to Arrow and The Flash. There's also a distinct absence of some Arrow / Flash characters, so it'd be nice to see more of them in future seasons.… Expand

    It's odd to see legendary premise from Seven Samurais implemented with supporting heroes from DC Universe and time travel gimmick. This is similar to a sport team made out of benchwarmers, without being too rude, and it can be disjointed at times. However, the theme of being better    Time to shine, secondary characters!     It's odd to see legendary premise from Seven Samurais implemented with supporting heroes from DC Universe and time travel gimmick. This is similar to a sport team made out of benchwarmers, without being too rude, and it can be disjointed at times. However, the theme of being better than the destined supporting roles resonate in rather realistic fashion for these misfits and its bombastic approach is surprisingly fun in contrast of trending gritty vibe for superheroes nowadays.

    Brandon Routh, formerly Superman, now goes by the name of Atom is a welcomed addition. He has good screen presence and it's nice to see him don another superhero suit in more prominent role. Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell once again become brothers years after their Prison Break time together. They've done this before and it seems they find comfortable place among the crew.

    Victor Garber, the half part of Firestorm and Caity Lotz, now White Canary are proper additions. Garber has done so many roles similar to this and he fits the mentor personality, while Lotz looks fine for the tough female character. She is athletic for the part, she's also gradually separating herself from love interest character into a more establish one. Arthur Darvill as the new lead Rip Hunter looks enigmatically resembling Constantine, though he seems decent for the glue that keeps the band together.

    These are the most likely to have chemistry across times. Unfortunately, this type of gathered heroes gig needs everyone to play their part. The Hawk duo is still inconsistent, they lack connection and the level or refined acting, and this is more visible when they play important part on the plot. Franz Drameh, the face of Firestorm has not meshed well with the rest either, the character looks too forced even if he's paired with more experienced Victor Garber.

    For visual candy purpose, they haven't skimped on the production. Effects from The Flash and Arrow translate well here. Atmosphere is leaning towards The Flash's lighter ambiance as the show gives more time for humor, thus the inevitable corny one-liner. Few of these appear highly flashy and haphazardly thrown together, although they are entertaining to have nonetheless.

    The assembly from lesser characters can be risky and hectic, yet the better parts of the production and cast present an enjoyable ride. Besides, it's always good to watch the talented actors given more spotlights and experience a more merry leisure than melancholy or melodramatic shows.    … Expand

    Solid show and one of the better things DC has done lately. Good characters and storylines. Plenty of potential plot twists and time periods to keep things interesting. It's good fun.

    Ironically the three characters who make this show interesting are the criminals and White Canary.

    The best line of the entire show is when “Captain Cold” commented: “Since when did we get into a fight with Bobba Fett?” referring to the battle the team had with the armed assassin shortly before the time ship took off near the end of the episode.     Meanwhile, Snart and Rory continue to play the well characterized pair of funny anti-heroes that we have seen again and again on the other CW shows. In particular, Captain Cold's absurdly dry sense of humor and knack for puns cuts through moments of necessary pilot exposition.

    The real standout, though, is Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, whose sharp comedic timing and deeper acting chops should help keep the show grounded in a strong protagonist moving forward. The more Legends of Tomorrow leans on Darvill and Garber for dramatic storylines, the better.

    Unfortunately, not all of the characters on the team are well-developed or well-acted. Hawkman and Hawkgirl continue to be as trite and uninteresting as they were during their stint on The Flash. And despite the potential in Vandal Savage as a character, his writing thus far has not been nuanced or compelling enough to set him on par with CW's other seasonal "Big Bads".

    Moving foward, the show should succeed if it focuses on its characters and actors that elevate it above mere comic book cheese, and if it executes its promise of time-travel shenanigans in inventive, fun ways.

    Legends of Tomorrow doesn't look poised to knock The Flash from its "best in DC" throne just yet. The Flash benefits from not having boring main characters (I'm looking at you Hawkman/Hawkgirl, and Arrow's terrible Laurel Lance). Consistency will be Legends of Tomorrow's biggest challenge if it wants to one-up The Flash and legitimize future expansion of CW's DC Universe.    … Expand

    It was a very interesting and fast first part of the Pilot. The core of this spin-off story is clear, performances are acceptable and the mash up of heroes and antiheroes strikes as an innovative way to make a comic-book based TV show. Hope the second part will be as entertaining as this one. (First review I write in my life, it's really exciting!).

    Not only is it a team of side character heroes, but its a team of side character heroes not being those heroes. It's more of a standard time travel show, heavily ripping off elements from Dr Who (I'm not sure if time masters were part of DC before or made up for the show, but they are very cheesy and he even steals his Tard...ship and gets fired)
    I think the Vandal Savage premise is what actually threw the show off course and if it was more like the Justice League TV show but just with lesser heroes and more time travel it would be much better.
    Of course now that they have Supergirl these characters are even more odd choices to save the world but hey they didn't know that at the time.    … Expand

    The breezily paced Legends of Tomorrow offers high octane action and an epic scope, which should add up to an entertaining ride. However, it stumbles with its overabundance of characters and a surprising hollow tone.

    The show is slightly above average entertainment but still is entertaining. Decent scripting and acting but its hard to disguise the fact that this is a cash grab riding on the tail of more popular shows. If you want to be entertained it will do it and if given the chance could grow into its own but sadly shows that are just average are rarely given a chance to become their potential. I know it's a wacky complaint, but it's still based on a bunch of super-heroes teaming up to stop a bad guy from conquering the world. Vandal Savage is probably the weakest link of the show. Notwithstanding his really horrible accent, he doesn't bringA fun show all in all, but it never quite recaptures the sense of thrill or excitement that made "The Avengers" movie so successful. I know it's a wacky complaint, but it's still based on a bunch of super-heroes teaming up to stop a bad guy from conquering the world. Vandal Savage is probably the weakest link of the show. Notwithstanding his really horrible accent, he doesn't bring charisma or energy, or even depth to his character. It would have been more suitable if the Time Masters filled his place. The show demonstrated how easily manipulated Rip's team was right from the start, all thanks to the Time Masters. They would have made for far better antagonists than what we've got.

    It's not that the concept isn't fun, but seeing our heroes travel through time for 16 episodes, attempting to have some advantage against Savage, when they could have just travelled to the day he was born (and I mean, the day he was born from his first lifetime), and killed him, bugs me. As a whole, this show was more about Rip Hunter's question for vengeance, and justice for his family's death. In the finale, they nailed that resolution right, with Rip coming to grips that Jonas and Miranda couldn't be saved, no matter what, and he had to live with that, but not before having a farewell hallucination. That was probably one of the best scenes of the finale. That and the scene where Mick says one last goodbye to Snart.

    Plot logic and villain mostly took a backseat to the action and visuals, which were pretty neat. Beyond that, there was a widening cast of likable leads. All in all, the actors seemed they were having fun. Ray Palmer got the chance to "play science" with Martin. The latter also had a growing relationship with Jax. Sara Lance surprisingly seemed happier than she was on "Arrow". Go figure. Her dynamic with Snart and Mick was a nice touch. Snart and Rory seemed out of place when the show began, as it was tough to imagine how some regular thieves would become legends in the future. The show handled it well, as soon the all so called "plot-device Chronos" was revealed to be Mick from the future. That idea was interesting, but the consequences, not so much.

    On the other hand, Kendra was problematic. Her romance with Ray didn't work for me, but worse than that was her zero character development. Well, at least beyond saying how she used to be a barista, she didn't have much material to do.

    The show needed focus, most of the time. There were so many filler episodes (e.g.: "Star City 2046", "Marooned", ...) and they did no job to further the plot. Because the premise is too simplistic to have a 16-episode season about it, there were issues, and it was those issues that brought it down. "Legends of Tomorrow" certainly made the setup for Season 2 nicely, and I just hope they can pick up from this and start building it to more than just a simple show.

    There's a certain overwrought charm to this well cast but wildly uneven tale. It's like The Avengers meet Dr. Who all in the DC universe. It a great show when its dealing with the action scenes, but the melodramatic expositional dialogue really doesn't work and it's not nearly as entertaining as The Flash or Arrow which it's been spun off from. Hopefully, with time it will improve.

    Great premise, sub-par execution, I found the dialogue jarring most of the time, it's also not for people who want time travel to make sense, but it has good room for improvement so I wouldn't knock it out yet.

    The pilot for this show was promising. It seemed like a pretty good premise, in spite of stuff that didn't make much sense like bringing along dangerous criminals (still waiting for an explanation of that). But the second episode was quite dull, and the special effects were pretty bad, even for television, so I think I'm done.

    All I'm going to say is the guy who uses the ice gun has the most ridiculous and absurd one liners and way of speaking it makes the entire show rather comical. The show as a whole is somehow getting a little better as it progresses though.

    In actual practice, Hunter’s invitation necessitates a great deal of discussion and debate. ... But once said conversations have been had, after the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed, the times ahead promise to be spread across the ages and a whole lotta fun.

    My basic reaction is--meh.... The show suffers from the illogic of time travel. (Why not go back to when Vandal Savage was born and either kill him or set him on the right path?) And it suffers from too many characters and not enough plot to go around.
