The producers ask each subject to be as sincere as possible, and to essentially treat Cunk as a naive child. Brooker and his writing staff seem to be able to expertly balance the idea that, in the broad sense, what Cunk is saying as a presenter is correct, but her notions and opinions on those facts are completely bonkers. Cunk on Earth is a consistently droll, frequently delightful series that mixes high and low comedy at a breakneck pace. The punchlines don’t always land — in part because of inconsistency in the way the character has evolved — but if one observation feels too glib or one target feels too on-the-nose, don’t worry. Philomena Cunk will be moving right along to the next. By the end of these episodes, darned if I wasn’t seeing signs of actual emotion and depth poking through. Read full review

Every single episode I laughed out loud at something more than once. Not many shows have you laughing and learning (Drunk History rip :( ), so enjoy this gem while it's here! I even watched 'Cunk on Britain' after seeing this.

I was waiting long for this show, 'cause I liked cunk´s performance in AfterLife and when I saw clips of this show with this unique sense of humor, I was already catchend.

With the laughs flying thick and fast, there is bound to be a few that fall flat, but on the whole this an extremely funny mockumentary.
Diane Morgan in the role of the naive Philomena Cunk is perfect and is the key reason this show works.

Seriously one of the best mock history series I've seen in quite some time. Diane Morgan delivers hilarious commentary on various topics related to the evolution of the word, while never breaking character.

Punching down for a few laughs gets boring very fast. There is no wit, just playing dumb, and laugh at the expenses of people we think are inferior to us. The worst type of British humour. A bit like self-deprecation which is just a badly concealed form of narcissism.
