Loved it, just loved it. Loved the first pilot and the new one. I expect high from this show, becauase I love the Hellblazer and Justice LEague Dark comics, and it would be fantastic if this show gets to be connected to the Guilermo del Toro JLD film.

Interesting an a ton of fun! It feels like the Constantine in this series more closely aligns with the Constantine of the comic universe. Episode one was a touch clunky but the follow up was great, as was the introduction to Zed who I think will add to the dynamic of the show.

I love this show, it may not be that close to the comic series that inspired it, yet I am still looking forward to every episode. It has yet to fail to amuse me.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. An awesome, mature, and dark depiction of the iconic D.C. superhero this show combines elements of horror with fun humor. Though maybe sometimes satanic and frightening at some points this show usually shows the heroes emerging victorious. Like the Flash, this show brings to life iconic Constantine characters like Zed and Chas, and foreshadows other heroes and villains who will and might make a live-action appearance. For example, Dr. Fate's helmet is briefly shown in the pilot episode and in the behind-the-scenes, Jim Corrigan makes a live-action appearance, but his alter-ego (the Spectre) is soon to make his appearance, the Swamp Thing aka Alec Holland is briefly mentioned during a phone message, and the Medusa Mask which Psycho-Pirate wears makes a brief appearance in the seventh episode serving as a book stand. For all those fans who are seeking some horror combined with superheroes, this is the right show! Expand

Easily the greatest show on air these days. Constantine is an action-packed series that stays true to the comics. One of the reasons I personally enjoy this series is most likely because it somewhat reminds me of the X-Files series. Fantastic characters, and having skilled actors such as Matt Ryan only makes the characters that much better. Would definitely recommend this to anyone whoEasily the greatest show on air these days. I'll admit, the first 2 episodes took some real effort for me to thoroughly enjoy, but I'm glad that I gave it the time and effort. It may start off slow, but the episodes just get better and better!

This show is amazing, I don't usually watch TV Shows but I wait for this every week! The soundtrack is nice, the acting is cool. This show is literally one of the best TV shows I have ever watched! I really liked how Matt Ryan played John Constantine as he resembles the John Constantine in the comics, hopefully this show doesn't get cancelled!

This is a great show. They take a little creative license but some of the episodes come straight out of the comic (with a little adjustment for tv/time) Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Matt Ryan is brilliant as constantine, a very interesting series which is a real competator for other comic book tv shows, e.g. The Flash, Agents of shield and Gotham etc.

The best comic adaptation for a tv show ever made. It is much like supernatural, but serious, and with deeper characters. The only down side is the timing, friday night is really bad...

What a fantastic show with its mix of horror and dark comedy. I cannot understand why the American ratings are so low I pray they renew for a second season

Its awesome, but don't know why Metacritic gave very low score. I loved the way he fights daemons and his style of talking. NBC or any other network should continue the second season, waiting for it.

The humour and the tone of this show are spot on. I'm writing this as a fan of the comic, in that it is a reasonable faithful interpretation of the spirit of it (could be darker ;) ) and also as a fan of TV. The acting, production and writing are great. This is best viewed with surround sound in a dark room, with the right ambiance around you this show shines.

Constantine is a great TV show that keeps getting better with each episode. I liked it so much that I created an account so I could rate this show. This is the only rating that I have ever done because I want to see this show continue.

The show is on of the best of all times! I love everything in it especially John Constantine, his character is so charming and fantastic. The show has awesome music too, usually many shows doesn't have good soundtracks but this really does. Praying for the 2nd season!

Dark humor (1 part) and horror (9 parts) always mixes greatly and this is the case for Constantine too. It gets 1 point off, for not taking place in England, as the original comic. Great series, nevertheless !!

The most promising show this season, especially because it's about the mystic part of the DC universe, which hasn't been explored very much in live action. Matt Ryan is perfect in the lead role since he goes back and forth between broody and snarky without breaking a sweat. He IS John Constantine straight from the pages of the comics.

The visual effects are decent for TV, the atmosphere provides a scare or two, and if NBC goes all the way and takes this show in a similar direction to Hannibal (unapologetically violent and disturbing), they got another hit on their hands.
Overall, I'd suggest anyone interested in comic books to give Constantine a shot. In a time when most shows based on comics are either corny (The Flash, Agents of SHIELD) or gratuitous fanboy pandering (Gotham), Constantine feels like a breath of fresh air.

The show is amazing, while it's not perfect, I feel there are very few that are. Matt Ryan is a great actor in this one. The show wasn't as great with the 10:00 time slot but now at 8:00, I think NBC is fully committed to this show. There were rumors of it being cancelled, and it can till be, but I feel they will give it at least one more season. Minus some odd cgi work, this certainly baked a biscuit and a half, ended with a bit of gravy. While it didn't seem very filling at first, I was full yet looking forward to having another bite.

I've found this to be an excellent start to a show just finding its feet. It has tons of promise and a vast array of lore to draw from since it has stepped beyond comics into a more real-world setting of television.

So far the acting has been very good, and they are only just introducing the main characters so it is a little early to tell just how the show will go. Still, what has been seen is showing that there will be a widespread scattering of stories underlined by an ongoing overarc of Constantine's own problems. This is usually a formula for a series worth at least 5 seasons.

The series also includes the current popular trend of Heaven/Hell being involved. Love that!

I'll happily re-review later in the season.

Constantine seems like a good fit tonally for Friday night companion series “Grimm,” but Constantine will need to more clearly establish its world--and the rules of its world--and better define its characters if it hopes to become a fanboy favorite.

There's the structure for a sturdy but unremarkable supernatural procedural (and companion piece to "Grimm"), but in the pilot, at least, producers David Goyer and Daniel Cerone aren't aiming for much more.
