South London

Marianne Rodney and 14 year old daughter Kate have an attic/guest room they would like cleaned up and organized.

Another 14 year old, James Long and his mum Nikki would like a more grown-up look for James' bedroom.

Anna Ryder Richardson tries to get a man's outlook for James' bedroom, but starts by revealing two shades of purple for the room. The team disagrees, but they forge on. They uncover a very nice fireplace that Anna doesn't want to destroy. Instead, they will build a large mantel and put a fish tank on top of that. They paint the wood floor white, but when they come back the next day, the floor still hasn't dried. They perform all their work outside until the very last minute. They make shutters out of a metal material.

Michael Jewitt is going for a modern japanese look in the attic. They do a ton of knitting for the room. They make shutter doors for the bed niche. Andy makes a long shelf for the room, but cannot get it into the room. They have to bring the shelf through the skylight. They also create a low sitting frame for the bed and use glass blocks in the frame to help illuminate the bed from underneath.
