Lodger Steve and Landlady Fiona think the living room is a blank canvas that they can have fun with.
Jane and fiancee Richard have an identical living room as Fiona's next door. They would like a screen to block out the kitchen.

Anna Ryder Richardson is in Fiona's living room. She is going to go for a "Beach Hut on Mars". The colors she uses to attempt to achieve this are bright light orange, a very bright fuschia, and bright bright blue. They place fairy lights in mdf with holes for a light piece. They lay down a purple wood floor. Anna rips up the carpet on the stairs and likes the wood that they have. They make a coat rack out of wood and rubber balls. Andy makes roundish cabinets out of the existing alcove. Anna spends £480.74.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is in the other living room. His paints are linen, light gray purple, a darker shade of purple, and then a light bright blue. The art project he doles out is to draw a design then use glue to trace it out. Laurence leaves at the end of the day to go to a photo shoot. The next day, they put pieces of paper around the windows to look like tile. Fiona doesn't like it but lets him continue anyway. They reuse the existing CD rack by hanging it horizontally.
