    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Beckett gets kidnapped. Why is everyone in the show getting kidnapped?

    Perhaps a slightly better start than last season, if only because the stupid BS excuse they invented to split up the couple and create artificial conflict is slightly less stupid. That being said, the show as a whole is tired and needs a move towards something other than made up conflicts and endless X-files-ication. Seriously, the layers of conspiracy are just getting dull and it feels like they will never end. What happened to solving silly murder cases with irreverant banter and the occasional gag?

    It also doesn't help that they're now putting in jokes about the age of the characters. And they're struggling more and more to find reasons to keep them all together while developing them and moving them forward. One hopes the show is looking towards how to end in a way that serves the fans of its whole run.    … Expand

    CASTLE was once the absolute best show of those I loyally followed. Now? It pains me to watch because the plots are so predictable it hurts. I believe they need to try and bring back the original team of writers and get back on track. This idea of KATE moving out virtually immediately after the wedding literally "stinks". If the clandestine crime figure wants to kill her they won't be stopped simply because she is living in a crummy apartment! They KNOW where she works! They know where Castle's OFFICE is located! Separating the two will NOT stop them from being murdered!
