    The lovely scenery belies the show’s serious content because all the participants seem to be going through something stressful. ... The people on this series seem like regular folks you meet every day, which makes watching them go through this experience intriguing.

    My wife and i watched the first episode and a little of the second. I say "watched" but we didn't hear very much of the dialog because of theMy wife and i watched the first episode and a little of the second. I say "watched" but we didn't hear very much of the dialog because of the very loud and obnoxious background music that drowned out the voices. We find that this is becoming a trend in movies and some TV shows. Why the blazes do the producers think we need loud music to help enjoy the show? Hearing the dialog would be enjoyment enough. And my finger gets tired raising the volume for the dialog and lowering if the next minute when the background soundtrack blares out twice as loud and the dialog. Doesn't anyone actually watch these shows before releasing them? Get with it movie and TV show makers. Drop the volume on the music to a level low enough that we can here what the actors are saying. Had we been able to hear what was being said, we might have watched more episodes of Castaways.… Full Review »

    I was hoping for an upper, but got a downer. Basically, the show - 2 episodes in - is a pity party hosted in a scenic tropical locale.

    I greatly enjoy this show. Life is not all roses and candy, it’s tough and seeing people who do not look like the normal “deserted on anI greatly enjoy this show. Life is not all roses and candy, it’s tough and seeing people who do not look like the normal “deserted on an island” type is refreshing. That said some of the time it is a bit hard to hear what the islanders are saying due to the loud background music tracks. If you’re a fan of reality tv this is definitely worth at least watching the first couple episodes before deciding if you like it or not.… Full Review »
