    Yes, this story’s kind of been told before, in various places, and in various forms over various decades--but with not nearly as many vulgar words called into service here.

The first two episodes are fairly well structured stories but still manage to be surprising and they are just really damned funny. Hank Azaria somehow maintains his comedic baseball announcer tone throughout without it becoming annoying or troublesome even in the more earnest moments. Amanda Peet does a solid job as always and remains one of the most loveable screen presences around. Tis may be the best comedy on TV in a decade. Full Review »

From the hilarious, heartfelt performances to the brilliant script that's a mix of laugh out loud funny and raw emotion, I seriously have not connected with a show the way I connected with Brockmire in a long time. Whether or not you like baseball, the bottom line is you'll love this show. Full Review »
