Apr 6, 2017Azaria created and fully embraces "Brockmire". Amanda Peet steps up word for word. Surprised by the funny take of the young actor playing his Internet producer. Nice balance and both bring out a soft side to the lead character. Looking forward to seeing where the season leads and glad it has already been renewed. Happy to see on Amazon Prime - perfect for binge viewing. Loved it!

Apr 6, 2017I don't know how anyone could not like this show. From the hilarious, heartfelt performances to the brilliant script that's a mix of laugh out loud funny and raw emotion, I seriously have not connected with a show the way I connected with Brockmire in a long time. Whether or not you like baseball, the bottom line is you'll love this show.

Apr 29, 2017It's good enough. Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet do their thing, and it works.
The show has some week spots, but Hank Azaria cranks out a couple of funny performances that makes it worth my while and keeps me interested.
I just wonder whether the show can go further down that lane without getting repetitive and boring.
But let's wait... -

While not every moment works, Brockmire the TV series offers a world worth visiting, and characters worth rooting for, even when they stumble.
-
When Brockmire is in the broadcast booth, Azaria’s arias of baseball lore are mesmerizing and witty, but the show also relies too frequently on jokes about Brockmire leaving the microphone open during embarrassing moments.
-
Brockmire gets off to a very funny (and very vulgar) start. I don't know how long the premise will hold up, but it begins with a lead-off hit and scores multiple runs.
