Season 3 is definitely showing signs of slipping. I heard that after season 2, they took a break from writing which they hadn't done before. Seasons 1 & 2 were hilarious, the writing was brilliant and the "fart jokes" were more organic and enhanced the story lines. The current season seems to be the opposite, using "fart jokes" to carry the story lines so to speak. They shouldn't haveSeason 3 is definitely showing signs of slipping. [The third season] combines what about the show has always worked with a new sense of seismic life change roiling under the surface.

The precision of the details--the way Broad City lets you think it’s meandering while remaining laser-focused on the timing of the gags and hitting a hilarious crescendo--is a wonder to behold.

The inspired, raucous third season of Broad City evokes a deep love for the five boroughs by at once trashing the place and its denizens, while also perfectly encapsulating the tremendous freedom and promise that the city offers young, creative women who are simply looking for a place to find and be their own unapologetic selves.
