Like a packed piñata of absurdity, each episode rains unforeseen treats, from physical pranks to existential banter to all manner of sexual exuberance. It’s all smartly visualized around town and briskly stitched together.

Each half hour feels as free-wheeling and wild as Ilana so boldly is, but also as meticulously put-together as Abby strives to be.

Uproarious, tear-inducing, side-splitting, and tell-everyone-you-love-and-hate-immediately good, Broad City is the funniest show on TV right now and, given time, its brazen inventiveness will probably net it an "all time" qualifier.

The precision of the details--the way Broad City lets you think it’s meandering while remaining laser-focused on the timing of the gags and hitting a hilarious crescendo--is a wonder to behold.

The inspired, raucous third season of Broad City evokes a deep love for the five boroughs by at once trashing the place and its denizens, while also perfectly encapsulating the tremendous freedom and promise that the city offers young, creative women who are simply looking for a place to find and be their own unapologetic selves.

Broad City exudes a warm empathy, however selective, that distinguishes it from the more openly misanthropic Seinfeld.
