Summary: In the first episode from Alaska, the presenters travel across a bungee swing, they then split up from one another looking for presents in Fairbanks. Andy looks back over the country's history, leading into Helen taking a look at Alaskan's competitors in the Eskimo Olympics. Joel sees what the effect that the sun hardly setting has onIn the first episode from Alaska, the presenters travel across a bungee swing, they then split up from one another looking for presents in Fairbanks. Andy looks back over the country's history, leading into Helen taking a look at Alaskan's competitors in the Eskimo Olympics. Joel sees what the effect that the sun hardly setting has on Alaskan day to day life, meeting the Burley family, who grow huge vegetables. Anthony Burley shows a cabbage he's entering into a vegetable competition later in the day at a state fair. Joel goes for a look around. Andy goes gold-digging at a goldmine, and then goes gold-panning. Joel then makes some moose dropping ear-rings. Helen makes some Agutuk – a small ice cream, in the recipe is blueberries and something very Eskimo – fish. Back with Joel, we find out Anthony gets fourth place with his large cabbage, back with Andy, he's found some gold. Joel's back at the fair and goes to try some local food, finding it hard to find anything healthy to eat, before the team meet up to show off what they've found on their travels. The presenters join in with some traditional dancing.… Expand
