Summary: Blondie is the new wave band, fronted by Deborah Harry, that rose to success on the pop charts in the late '70s and early '80s behind such songs as "Call Me" and "One Way Or Another". After initial success in Europe and Australia, their third album 'Parallel Lines' broke the band in a big way. Her longtime boyfriend and guitarist Chris Stein became ill from a rare genetic disease, and he disappeared from music for two years to recover. Debbie continued on as a solo artist and actress.
