Summary: Two detectives from Manchester come to London in pursuit of a comedian wanted in connection with the theft of monies from the police widows' fund. Gene is less than welcoming, and is determined to get his hands on their suspect first. Alex takes the opportunity to further her investigation into the disappearance of Sam Tyler.
