Camp is in it's nature and it's all the better for it. The new characters joining Ash on his quest to end all evil are just a likable as the man himself. The plot is really shaping up to be something interesting. We are beginning to get deeper looks into the origin of the Necronomicon. Watching Ash struggle with his past is also surprisingly intelligent. It gives more depth to the goofball character.

Yes, Evil Dead fans are in for a huge treat with this series. It captures everything that is so great about the Raimi movies, particularly the later ones, and brings them to the TV. However longtime fans who have been hungry for more aren't the only ones who can enjoy this show. Those looking for a bloody hilarious horror-comedy are sure to find a lot to love here. It's got enough gore and jokes to ensure that this is one satisfying show and a glorious return for the series. "Hail to the king, baby!"

I watch about 20 different television shows, including the big boys Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Daredevil, Sherlock, Stranger things, etc. and Ash vs Evil Dead is still my favorite show. It's just so creative and fun, and in the end that's what makes me happy when I'm seeking entertainment.

Just about as perfect as an Evil Dead TV show could get. It successfully recreates the charm of the old films in a modern setting and higher production values. They haven't forgotten what made the originals so great.

    In short: Surprisingly well done.

I did not expect this to turn out as well as it did. This production has what most productions lack: Heart and consistency. Even considering what the story is about, the characters are convincing and the interactions are plausible. It is fun to watch and true to it's roots, no doubt thanks to the personal involvements of those who originally planted it.

At last! It's almost unbelievable. After all these years of Bruce Campbell telling fans to stop asking about an Evil Dead sequel because it was never going to happen, here it is! After all these years of Bruce Campbell telling fans to stop asking about an Evil Dead sequel because it was never going to happen, here it is! This show is all you could hope for in an Evil Dead series. I was afraid Bruce Campbell would just walk through it, but no, he does not. He does Ash justice. Everything is just right. The pilot was perfectly executed. It captures the spirit of the original movies; the pilot at least is directed by Sam Raimi; it got everything right, heck it's even got the right car. Bruce Campbell lost weight for the show to recapture that narrow angular, almost comic bookish, face he had in the movies, if a more ragged version of it. After watching William Shatner become so bloated in the Trek movies that he was not recognizable, after suffering through the puffing of Nathan Fillion in Castle, I am grateful to Bruce for giving us that perfect Ash profile once again. Some stars get soft and addled by stardom; they lose discipline. Not Bruce. When he is in full regalia including the chainsaw as he utters a famous catchphrase at the end of the pilot, an electrical charge of adrenalin ran through me; I was struck viscerally by the recognition - that's him - it's Ash!

If you don't know what this is all about see the comic/horror movies, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. If you like those movies, then this show is for you.

Now let me clarify. DO NOT see The Evil Dead. That movie was just a dry run and it leaves out everything that made Evil Dead 2 (which is not really a sequel, but just a remake but much much better). Also, not to complicate things, but the very recent Evil Dead movie is not part of this series of stories. It's something else with the same name. It might be good. I haven't seen it. But don't confuse it with the series of films directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell.

Finally, DO NOT SEE the Director's Cut of Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell is nothing if not blunt. In the voice over commentary of the Director's Cut of Army of Darkness he points out how the final battle scene drags on so long that it gets boring. This is true. The Director's Cut of Army of Darkness just isn't good. Destroys the pacing. So see the theatrical cut of Army of Darkness, with the original ending

Ash vs Evil Dead is a true marvel of modern television and is the best out of the Evil Dead Franchise. Bruce Campbell and co. are all on the top and their game and any Evil Dead fan needs to watch this series now if they haven't already. 10/10 would kill demons again.

We're off to an awesome start. The acting is good, the comedy is great, and the effects are hella fun. I'm never one to binge watch a show, but if the whole season for this was released I would *have* to watch it to completion.

    Top Notch.

With all the reboots and prequels out there failing at "bringing something refreshing to the franchise" Ash vs Evil Dead does exactly the opposite. It's Ash, he's a moron, he has a shotgun and a chainsaw, and he fights Deadites to right his mistake. It's truly Evil Dead, and that's the best compliment needed to be made.

It is so awesome that it is almost beyond words. Bruce Campbell kicks major butt in the role and is just as great as he was in the original films. It delivers on the gore, the humour and the action.... some UK channel needs to pick this up though to stop us having to jump through hoops over here to see it.

It's really great... The most faithful Classic of all time. The terror of the summit, which came with everything, including the true protagonist, and bringing back a movie legend. A good script, good layout, some trash effects as usual, image and very cool environment, a good resolution , and in short a soundtrack as good as! Fans of Evil Dead... of course Classic , but this was a good job.

This was made for fans of the first two evil dead movies and army of darkness, but if you have never seen any of those don't fret as there is still a lot to enjoy. If you are partial to lots of blood, a little bit of slapstick comedy and great one liners, then this is the show for you.

OMG! Yes! This show is hilarious and is a great call back to the horror of the 80s. I can't tell you enough how sometimes ridiculous the demons and killings are in this series. I mean of course use caution if you are offended by language and blood but if you don't care and love classic horror, then check this series out. Ash is back and old but is still a hand chainsawing bada**!

An exquisite mix between gore-filled horror and cliché humor," Ash vs Evil Dead" offers sheer enjoyment for more mature audiences. Bruce Campbell's Ash is both bad ass and hilarious in equal measure, and while the CGI falls flat compared to its otherwise tremendous practical effects, it's still worth checking out. Trust me: you will get hooked to this groovy series.

The show is mostly useful as a vengeful reverse prank on greedy legions of trick-or-treaters. Make sure your tube is prominently visible as you open the door to the kids, and give them a compulsive need for years of therapy along with their Butterfingers.
