    Glad to see it getting back to its roots. This season is the best since season 6 (though 7 was good to) I stoped watching half way through season 8. Its a cartoon I'm just after a laugh don't need complex plot or whatever they were trying to do for the last few seasons. Signed up to metacritic just to leave a 5star review

    The only glaringly negative thing I have to say about this season is that it's short. It's over before you know it and it's such a frustrating thing as I was really getting into this one. Another gripe, at least for me, is that there really isn't an overall plot to this season. It's just a matter of Archer, and his friends, coping with the fact that he's awake.     I don't understand the negative reactions. I think that this is better than the last two seasons.

    This latest installment is a return to Archer’s raunchy, ridiculous form and it feels as cozy as crawling into your bed after a long car ride.

    Luckily, the signature “Archer” connective joke tissue that melds its disparate plots with bookending conversations is as sharp as ever, too. Archer’s jealousy, Cyril’s struggles to command respect, and Cheryl’s turn-ons should be territory so well-trod that no fertile ground would be left. Yet, there’s enough magic in each passing setup that you get a chance to see these from a new angle.

    Archer is back in a way that is – at least on the surface – similar to the early days of the show. But you’ll soon realize just because we’re back in the land of the living doesn’t mean this series is done evolving.
