Quirky and downright weird. At least that’s my first impression. One has to suspend reality to buy the premise that a disgraced professor could get a gig as an Advanced placement Biology teacher when he has no credentials or experience doing so. One also has to stretch credibility to accept the ineptitude of the high school principal as portrayed. Finally, to get AP credit, the studentsQuirky and downright weird. Don’t think all the students would go along with getting absolutely no instruction to prepare for this test. Once one suspends all reality then there’s a bit of fun to be found in this strange setting. Whether that’s enough to sustain this farce for a season, well that remains to be seen. Right now this trip down the rabbit hole is worth a tenuous D- and may easily sink lower.

Recent episodes do not have any tie to reality, so lowering my score. A guilty pleasure - just because it is a farce, but nothing more than that. Past time to flush this one! Hear a report a renewal has been issued. Scraping the bottom of the barrel are we?

Just when I thought that piece of crap sitcom L.A. To Vegas was the stupidest show on the air, this ridiculous train wreck of a show comes along! I struggled to get through the first episode. I'd rather try to pass a hard poo than watch this! To say it's unfunny would be an understatement. A.P. Bio is as entertaining as a ham sandwich. To thumbs way down. If A.P. Couldn't watch it after the first episode. Toying on stereotypes, can you be any less creative than that? Main character is a stereotypical white male who has enjoyed privileges all his life too. The jokes are NOT funny at all. The US TV networks are really making some below average shows these days.

A.P. Bio is just staggeringly unfunny, a clunky mess of a sitcom that has no idea how to innovate beyond its setup--nor any sense of what about its material is actually comedic.

At times, A.P. Bio struggles to build a bridge between what’s happening in Jack’s classroom and the rest of Whitlock, but the performances in the B-plots are so uniformly strong, they practically justify these digressions all on their own.

Howerton makes the most of his central ribald rogue role while Oswalt seemingly was built to be a bumbler. Neither character is believably employed--if that really matters. Beyond that, A.P. Bio suffices as a teacher-student comedy.
