    Before Angel From Hell, I was neither fan nor detractor of Jane Lynch even though she seems to be constantly playing the same character in every sitcom she has appeared.. After watching the pilot episode, I am most decidedly a detractor of Jane Lynch. Grating, unlikable, annoying and un-watchable are the kindest words I can muster for this holy abomination of a sitcom.     What crap! I can't believe it made it on the air...worst show lately; even worse than Life in Pieces. Watched the Pilot, but will now change to a different channel if this continues.

    This is a must see- We can relate to that friend who can see things more objectively then we can- I hope CBS gives this show the time it needs to get the following it deserves

    The show was disgusting. We changed channels after we noted the first 4 sponsors. I will encourage them not to sponsor such a show. Nasty! Nasty! Good ridden to the show.

    "Angel From Hell" aired on CBS on January 7. The story follows Allison Fuller who has a dermatology practice with her father Marv. Allison's brother Brad lives above her garage. Allison appears to have a very organized (some might say uptight) life-- except that's she's secretly still reeling from the effects of her mother's death.

    Allison encounters Amy on the street. She's a street    "Angel From Hell" aired on CBS on January 7. The story follows Allison Fuller who has a dermatology practice with her father Marv. Allison's brother Brad lives above her garage. Allison appears to have a very organized (some might say uptight) life-- except that's she's secretly still reeling from the effects of her mother's death.

    Allison encounters Amy on the street. She's a street performer/possibly psychotic homeless person. Amy tells Allison she is her guardian angel and is sent her to watch over her. That's crazy talk... right? Well, not really. We've seen this plot a number of times with slight variations. See "Touched By An Angel" or "Highway To Heaven" as two examples.

    Maybe Allison should get a restraining order. But Amy seems to know things (like her boyfriend is cheating with her best friend). That sucks. In the final scene, Allison is looking through some old photos. She finds a picture of herself as a little girl. There is the corner is Amy looking protectively over her. And thus concludes the pilot.

    While I love Jane Lynch, this show just doesnt work for me. None of the characters are compelling. It's not the actor's fault. There's not much to work with. The story is boring. Why has Amy shown up now? There's no major drama in her life. She's not about to die or commit suicide. She's not an alcoholic or drug addict that's hit rock bottom. If so, that would make the show more interesting.

    Sorry Jane. There's not enough going on here to keep me coming back. I'll continue to watch ya on "Hollywood Game Night" though. PS. I miss Sue Sylvester.    … Expand

    As I predicted...CBS announced today (2/9/16) that Angel from Hell has been cancelled. I wonder whose head at CBS will roll for coming up with the idea for this show?

    After watching 3 episodes I can not take it any more. The writing is trite and predictable. Lynch's character is not endearing in anyway to me. Just annoying. I really wanted to like Maggie's character as I am a fan of hers from Psych. But I find the Allison character vapid and unlikable. I love Kevin Pollock and am sorry he has ended up in this dud of a show. Judging from the nearAfter watching 3 episodes I can not take it any more. The writing is trite and predictable. Lynch's character is not endearing in anyway to me. Just annoying. I really wanted to like Maggie's character as I am a fan of hers from Psych. But I find the Allison character vapid and unlikable. I love Kevin Pollock and am sorry he has ended up in this dud of a show. Judging from the near constant plugs the shows is getting on CBS I think it is overly hyped and the network is trying to save this because they probably have some serious money invested in it.… Expand

    The humor ranges from bombastic to subtle, with dialogue delivered at an atypically rapid pace. The pilot had a Sorkin-esque feel to it, with witty banter and "blink and you'll miss it" jokes and one-liners.

    The series once again attempts to pair the straight-shooter with the oddball muck-up in an attempt to allow both characters to find middle ground. In the process, hilarity ensues. Except when it doesn’t.

    Angel From Hell is without a laugh track or any real sense of purpose beyond letting Lynch fire away. Some of her darts can be amusing. And her delivery system remains intact. But even by Episode 2, the premise is wearing thin.
