    Definitely the best moments that TV was able to produce in recent months. The writing is remarkable. The actors are superb. Compelling, concerning, fascinating. I am in awe.

    I think this is one of the most relevant show not just on network but on tv in general, the performances are great, the direction is awesome and the topics involved need to be discussed by everyone.

    The second season of ABC drama American Crime is a great example to show us why are anthology series so popular nowadays(Fargo, American Horror Story, American Crime Story). The creative team behind the series knows exactly how much time they have to deliver a great story and finish it satisfactorily. They are simply great. And AC2 is no exception.

    In only ten 40-minute episodes the    The second season of ABC drama American Crime is a great example to show us why are anthology series so popular nowadays(Fargo, American Horror Story, American Crime Story). The creative team behind the series knows exactly how much time they have to deliver a great story and finish it satisfactorily. They are simply great. And AC2 is no exception.

    In only ten 40-minute episodes the producers manage to do a whole lot. They bring us an emotional story of four damaged teenagers, four very different mothers who cope with shows' events in very different ways and three fathers, who try to be there for their kids in best ways possible. The show outdoes itself by dealing with our, post(?)modern society issues like inequality, homophobia, racism and sexual assault.

    There is no way around complimenting the stellar cast-led(this season) by Lily Taylor and mostly underrated Connor Jessup. The supporting cast(Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Trevor Jackson, Joey Pollari, Angelique Rivera, Regina King, Hope Davis,Emily Bergl, André L. Benjamin) all bring their own spark to their respective roles.

    Watching this show-remember, it is not about truth, its not about happy endings or even satisfying conclusions. Its about "normal" people bumping into the consequences of their actions while facing harsh reality. And even if we don't know everything that happened by the end, I do know that this show deserves your attention.    … Expand

    Brilliant season! The first season was well-acted but I found this much more compelling. The acting, writing, directing and pacing are sublime. The characters are so well drawn you wish it went longer. Highly recommended! Really hope this gets renewed for a third season.

    American Crime vuelve con una temporada igualmente impecable como la anterior. Con un reparto brillante y una historia nunca antes contada en la televisión abierta. Una serie que todos deberían ver y un guionista del que todos deberían aprender.

    After a dreary season one, this second instalment takes place mostly at a private high school. It's still dark and challenging, but this season is gripping in a more accessible way. The cast is phenomenal, even better this time around. "Important" is a word too often used for work like John Ridley's, so let's just say there should be more dramatic television like American Crime.

    A solid start to what is sure to be another intensely, phenomenal season. This series pulls no punches. Real, real, real with exceptional heart and immaculate craft.

    By far the best written, best acted show on Prime time TV. Too dark and layered for most viewers, so kudos to the network for producing it, and keeping it on. To use the same actors in totally different roles allows us to see their amazing skills. This season is a deeper reach than last, and the issues more complicated.

    I am very surprise I am this skeptical by this second season. Even though it start rather off (for my perspective) and very different from the season 1. I found it like it was missing something, perhaps is was the less different approach to the portrayal and or the slow phase and the obvious spot on plot.

The main thing here that will be very interesting (if is not became obvious down the line) is going to be and see the back story on perhaps what really happen in that party with the kid and who was involved.    … Expand

    It definitely shows what happens when kids are no longer allowed to fight their own fights and take care of their own mess their way. Everybody is falling over everybody probably because nothing is a one person's business anymore. Everybody who can be considered involved gets involved 'to set the record straight' if it were only to save their face and 'good' name.

    American Crime, en su segunda temporada (no he visto la S01), es una magnífica serie que trata un tema de una forma super inteligente y cruda, trata de concienciar de lo que desgraciadamente es muchas veces el día a día en muchas escuelas y en grupos de jóvenes. No voy a decir nada en cuanto a los aspectos técnicos, no hace falta.

    Personalmente, a mí hay una cosa que no me gusta de la    American Crime, en su segunda temporada (no he visto la S01), es una magnífica serie que trata un tema de una forma super inteligente y cruda, trata de concienciar de lo que desgraciadamente es muchas veces el día a día en muchas escuelas y en grupos de jóvenes. No voy a decir nada en cuanto a los aspectos técnicos, no hace falta.

    Personalmente, a mí hay una cosa que no me gusta de la serie y es el tono de "falso documental" que tiene. Ya sé que es necesario y que forma parte de la trama, pero a veces no se si estaba viendo un documental o una serie. ¿Me ha gustado?, Sí. ¿La volvería a ver? No, pero se la pondría a mis hijos y la recomendaría a todo el mundo. Recomiendo como se trata el tema de la homosexualidad, el odio, el abuso escolar (el bullying).. etc.

    En definitiva, como ya he escrito, es una serie que ni mucho menos va a estar entre mis preferidas, pero que me alegro mucho de haber visto.    … Expand

    The second season of ABC's critically acclaimed anthology series is even better than the first! With continued Emmy-worthy performances, writing, and direction, the series takes on untouched territory for television, and tells the story brilliantly. A masterpiece, American Crime is among the greatest series currently airing!

    Certainly the best season, by *far*. It still suffers from an unrelenting seriousness that is damaging to both the attention of the viewer and the message of the show, however, the acting mostly makes up for it.

    Honestly, you should just watch this season and skip the others.

    It’s more tightly focused on a case of rape at an Indiana private school in which every player--victim, victim’s mom, alleged perpetrator, school headmistress, bystanders--gets more than one chance to have his or her say. Its status as a work of pure fiction allows race, class and sexuality to shape the narrative in creative ways, and the characters are more than just placeholders for what we’d like to believe about the case.

    It carries a stronger sense of artful engagement with the viewer, through both direction and tone.... It’s still not exactly an easy watch, but it’s a far more engrossing one than in season one.

    Even if some moments ring true, too many deafening blows make the show's only impact comparable to blunt force trauma. American Crime has never met a bad choice it can't find a way to justify, and worse yet, it uses the worst moments as hooks to lure viewers to the next episode.
