Season 2 gets way more complex than season 1 but at the same time slower and thicker.

The games are still great and interesting although some of them are just shown in flashes to rush the plot and take us to a unsavory ending. Some caracters seem to be super human surviving getting shot or stabbed like nothing happened. The plot is still intriguing and keeps us interested in knowing

The plot is still intriguing and keeps us interested in knowing what is going on. Episodes 1 and 8 are extremely slow and dense which might make some fall asleep. The rest of the episodes and some final bosses are well written and even better acted. In general terms, a good season which could have easily made two seasons more with the material they compressed in 8 episodes. I liked season 2 but still believe season 1 was way better.

lil bit crazier than squid games, with some supernatural or sci-fi (who knows). games are obviously crazy and over-the-top, wish they showed more diamond games (intellectual, so a lot of suspence). half-open ending is perfect for either finale or renewal, 'inception'-style. instead of typical korean economy stuff from squid games, there's a lot of morality discussions driven throughlil bit crazier than squid games, with some supernatural or sci-fi (who knows). games are obviously crazy and over-the-top, wish they showed more diamond games (intellectual, so a lot of suspence). half-open ending is perfect for either finale or renewal, 'inception'-style. instead of typical korean economy stuff from squid games, there's a lot of morality discussions driven through flashbacks of characters. unlike squid games, players have no motive to kill each other, except in-game and everybody are scattered around the city, so there is almost no confrontation. and there are practically no villains among main and recurring characters, i liked it a lot. still, characters in squid games seemed more interesting. maybe because they have a lot of screen time in the outside world. in the end squid games in my opinion is better but if you're a fan you definitely should watch AIB too. Not only does it not come close to season 1 in terms of entertainment value, the games also feel more repetitive and underwhelming this time around. The character shields are more noticeable than ever.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The MC became dumb for no apparent reason, the ending is completely nosense and 90% of the characters has plot armor. The only good thing about the show are the games, even tho the final games were rushed af Expand

With higher stakes and much more intriguing games and characters, Season 2 of Alice in Borderland is a thrilling ride that’s never boring.

Alice in Borderland is bloody, violent, and sometimes stingy with narrative facts. But it revels in making or breaking the rules it’s created for its topsyturvy world, and the core characters are compelling and fully rendered.
