Summary: Vera is excited to see an old high school flame who stops by Mel's Diner for a visit. Being naturally trusting, Vera does find anything wrong with agreeing to cash a check of his despite it being against a Mel's Diner policy. She is not prepared when he is nowhere to be found when it bounces and must make it up to Mel by becoming his slave.
