Summary: Alice has found that money is becoming tighter and tighter and she asks Mel for a raise which he promptly refuses. Later, a wealthy old boyfriend of Alice's comes to town for a visit and proposes marriage. Alice begins entertaining the idea of the possibility of living with a loveless marriage and living without having to worry about money.
