The U.S. has the highest priced drugs in the world and tonight, Steve Kroft investigates the political reasons that may be keeping them this way. A look into the Medicare prescription drug bill and why can’t the government negotiate for better prices?
In another story, Morley Safer visits ‘the big house’ and Dennis Kozlowski, former CEO of Tyco who still tries to claim he didn’t do anything wrong. Kozlowski earned over $100 million a year and was still found guilty of stealing even more for some high flying excesses that are hard to believe. Does everyone recall the $6,000 he paid for a shower curtain?
Finally, Scott Pelley reports on a brutal pugilistic sport that combines martial arts jiu-jitsu with boxing and wrestling. Called MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), this fighting frequently ends up with serious injuries and broken bones.
