If i were rating the show from the beginning, it would definitely be a 10, but i'm rating this on just this current season, so far. To be honest, it hasn't grabbed my attention as much as last season did right from the get-go. Still GREAT television, but th presence of both Tony and Palmer are sorely missed. Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer before Tony comes out If i were rating the show from the beginning, it would definitely be a 10, but i'm rating this on just this current season, so far. Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer before Tony comes out of that coma! In the meantime, characters like Edgar and Curtis are picking up the slack admirably, but.. they aren't Tony :P Expand

This has been the best season thus far. Last season was a little gimmicky and overwrought. Season 5 is hitting on all cylinders. Nothing else on TV remotely close to this. This show is not for everyone, especially if you don't like tension.

I was worried 24 would eventaully get stale, but even as the storyline is party overused, I find season 5 to be every bit as enjoyable as the many days before it.

A TV show which is consistently better than theater release thrillers. Asks very tough questions and gives no easy answers. Forces viewers out of the hollywood pipedream of convenient "magic wand" solutions and into the unconfortable realm of choosing the lesser evil. If you don't get it you're unworthy of it. Go play your game cube.

"24" should now really be titled "120" - which is, coincidentally, about the number of ways this show is overrated.

Gripping. It's that simple. Of course there are logical and logistical holes, but the show's goal is grabbing you by the throat and never letting go. I can't say where the rest of the season is going, but the first four episodes were compelling and gripping every single step of the way.

Heart pounding excitement, but ohhh...to lose 2 of the very best characters in the first few minutes??? I deducted one point for extreme violence; thrills are one thing but I hope they keep the lid on future graphic violence or I fear they will lose some viewers---mainly women.

Let's hope she sticks to making tawdry teen flicks. Overall, an impressive premiere. Expand
