If you were to compare this game to a zombie movie, it's the game version of a decent popcorn flick. Not a revolutionary title that will blow you away, but more like Expendables with zombies. Popcorn, friends online, and a few evenings of mindless fun. Sometimes that's just what you need.- XGN

Proteus is a magnificent experience. Side note is that only a select group of people will enjoy playing this strange, interactive title.- XGN

Some people don’t like realistic football and for those persons there is the Inazuma Eleven franchise. You can play football with amazing powers and the controls are smooth and liable. The game world isn’t that good and it’s not a technical improvement when you compare it to the earlier games. You will have fun with Inazuma Eleven 3: Bomb Blast though.- XGN

Saboteur's gameplay isn't brilliant, but the presentation is just well done. We've seen it many times before, a game about the Second World War, but it's good to see that The Saboteur is original in a kind of way.- XGN

Each sport in Nintendo Switch Sports is enjoyable and uniquely developed. Just like its predecessors, is this a perfect game to play at parties because of the easy-to-master controls. If you're planning to play by yourself I wouldn't recommend this game, because it will feel more like a tech demo instead of an actual videogame. The new Sports Mates also lack the charming characteristics of the Mii characters, so each match will feel like you’re playing against the same boring robot over and over again.- XGN

NBA Live 18 is a pretty good game, but just misses an 'oompf'. The game looks amazing, but besides The One, there aren't any other interesting modes.- XGN

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a successful movie adaptation in the sense that it offers very smooth gameplay and a beautiful world to explore. It's also a very rewarding experience to explore Pandora. When you are fighting the RDA or making your way through the world, you feel very much a Na'vi, but all the local terminology can be very confusing. Unfortunately, frequent framedrops and crashes somewhat spoiled our experience on PC, preventing the game from delivering the magical experience it could have.- XGN

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning brings you back to a magical world. The game has been polished to bring it to 2020. This succeeded for the better part of it. The game looks good overall but here and there the aging is still visible pretty clearly. For 40 euros you still get a hell of a RPG with more than 40 hours of story, all of the DLC and next to that a lot of side missions, tons of weapons and more. Also, there is a new DLC on it's way for the game slated in 2021. That makes this more than worth the buy.- XGN

State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition is a nice opportunity for gamers who haven't yet played the original. Unfortunately the game still suffers from small glitches and the graphics aren't great. Only recommended to the die-hard zombie fans out there.- XGN

Are you looking for a RPG which offers something totally different than Final Fantasy XIII for example? Well, if you don't have any problems with a difficult and extensive gameplay system, then Resonance of Fate is your game to buy.- XGN

The only thing we don’t like about Rain is its playtime: it’s too short, we want to enjoy more of this game. A stunning display of story, with a magnificent soundtrack and we haven’t even talked about the gameplay yet. Puzzling in the rain has never been this beautiful and good.- XGN

Guild of Dungeoneering offers a nice mixture of genres with RPG and strategy elements combined in a card game. The gameplay is challenging and elaborate, with the exception of the fighting system, which is a bit simplistic.- XGN

This is not a smooth platformer like Mario, but it is one where you really have to puzzle your way through. The cut scenes are a bit annoying, the story as well, but the gameplay is really loveable. It is fun to create different natural things with your magic marker and even though not everybody is a fan of the controls, we found them an creative and challenging in a positive way.- XGN

Dimps has listened to the Dragon Ball fans, that much is clear. Xenoverse 2 features more multiplayer options, streamlined gameplay and hours of entertainment. Still, it misses the co-op Story Mode and all-over it feels like a huge upgrade.- XGN

Even though there are still some bugs left The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is a really fun experience. The game plays wonderfully and Lady Katarina is an awesome sidekick. This is a great starting point if you want to get your hands on an Action RPG for the first time.- XGN

For the current generation, FIFA 21 is certainly a good title, although the potential was so much greater. Fortunately, Career Mode fans will be served at their beck and call this year, which was necessary after years of disappointment. The development of youth players has also improved a lot this year, although it is regrettable to see that elements such as the speed of players are still too big a factor for the core gameplay.- XGN

Unfortunately this videogame has at least one deal breaking bug, plus (again!) no trophies for Player 2. Other than that, LEGO The Hobbit is just as loveable as LEGO LotR. Lots of recognizable scenes from the movie with new ways to collect LEGO-bricks and things. Plus, Saruman tells the storyline for people that are not familiar with the story of the Hobbit. Lovely for old and young players.- XGN

Wolfenstein is absolutely not the greatest shooter of this year, therefore the game lacks at too many points. But on the other hand, the game offers you a nice combination of shooting with weapons and using the skills of the medallion. Reason enough to buy this game as a perfect snack, before the really big shooters will hit the stores later this year.- XGN

This game tries to do a lot. It re-tells the story of the very first Final Fantasy, but is also an Origin story. It tries to pay homage to 35 years of FF games, but also provide a new experience. It wants to be a Souls game, but without the Souls difficulty, a hacker-slasher and a loot game. Against a backdrop of sub-par graphics, some choices work, some don't. The combat is pretty good, while the graphics, level design and story let down. This entry to the Final Fantasy multiverse won't be for the ages.- XGN

The hype around Brink was huge and the game doesn't live up to all of the expectations. The campaign is extremely short and so it's the online gameplay that saves this game from demise. With the right teammates you'll have a ton of fun online.- XGN

The Inner World turned out to be a very charming game with an interesting setting. If you're drawn to cartonesk looking games and are really into the point-and-click kind of puzzles, than you will certainly have a blast with this one. However, it's still missing some important elements so don't expect it to rock your world.- XGN

With Episode 5 of the Telltale Minecraft series they are setting up a good base for the next three episodes when it comes to the storyline. All they need to do now is come up with a proper villain, not abandon storylines and ideologies and make the quicktime events interesting and Telltale with have something good on their hands.- XGN

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 brings a fresh new wind to karting. The game lets you play as your favorite cartoon characters like The Turtles, Ren and Stimpy, and SpongeBob. The racing part of the game is great. You can shoot other drivers with power-ups and protect yourself with them. Besides racing, you can play different modes like the Arena battle, which makes this a complete game for a lot less than the average karting game.- XGN

Maybe for South Park fans this is an interesting title. But be smart to start immediately with the multiplayer mode. Because if you choose to play on your own, the game will soon be pretty boring. For those people who are not South Park fans and are seeking for a Tower Defense game; look on the web, there are free and better versions available.- XGN
