A dark and serious take on an otherwise oversaturated genre. [Issue#86, p.102]- X-ONE Magazine UK

Majestic boss battles are marred by ill-suited (and occasionally unfair) controls. If you like your boss battles epic, this is for you, otherwise, "Gears of War" should be your next port of call. [Issue 15, p.78]- X-ONE Magazine UK

The Evil Within is less genre-defining and is instead more of a spiritual successor - one that relives past glories rather than seeks out new ones. [Issue#118, p.73]- X-ONE Magazine UK

It should have been released months before "Soulcalibur IV" comes out, not the Wednesday before. [Issue#35, p.114]- X-ONE Magazine UK

Don't expect the same longevity from Monday Night Combat as you would a game in a similar vein from Valve or Epic. [Issue#63, p.103]- X-ONE Magazine UK

A great combination of genres that manages to really tax your brain, be great fun and work as a competitive and addictive multiplayer game. Not so great for solo players, though. [Issue#83, p.104]- X-ONE Magazine UK

EA Tiburon may collect a handful of inexperienced fans with this release, but it'll lose a whole lot more from the other end of the scale. [Issue#71, p.78]- X-ONE Magazine UK

While many fans will already have BlazBlue, Extend ties together all of the DLC, tweaks and modes that make it the definitive way to enjoy this superb series. [Issue#83, p.89]- X-ONE Magazine UK

Gripes about PES prove a modern-day "Princess and the Pea" story. The general excellence of the game's simulation serves to unduly highlight one measly kilobite of pure devil's armpit. [Issue 13, p.96]- X-ONE Magazine UK

As long as you're a fan of the RTS format, it's hard to fault Battle for Middle-Earth II on anything other than the controls. We think most will adapt soon enough, though. [Issue 9, p.84]- X-ONE Magazine UK

A videogame that, though potentially excellent, doesn't have much reason to exist, and scuppers itself time and again through silly design decisions. [Issue#64, p.84]- X-ONE Magazine UK

The level of customisation, freedom of choice and unending list of things to do makes this one of the most worthy and substantial sequels ever created. [Issue#81, p.79]- X-ONE Magazine UK

There’s a lot to love in Mirror’s Edge, times when it reaches potential game of the year material, times when mind, body and control come together to create something almost euphoric on screen. But when that transcendence is shattered by a poorly designed combat section or a moment of utter confusion, it leaves a bitter taste. Kudos, then, for EA’s commitment to new IP, but it’s one that ironically, leaves us wanting a sequel.- X-ONE Magazine UK

The mini-games are plentiful and brilliant (and allow online play), the levels are extremely well designed. [Issue 18, p.116]- X-ONE Magazine UK
