A great story that manages to make old ground seem fresh, coupled with out-of-this world sound design, is sadly attached to a middle-of-the-road, limited third-person gaming experience.- Video Game Talk

If you played Lost Planet for the 360 then there frankly isn't any reason to spend time with the PlayStation 3 version. The original release stands out as the better version.- Video Game Talk

But if you want to play with your children, and they have a few friends whose parents were willing to buy them some additional figurines, then you might be able to get some decent fun out of it. For everyone else, though, Skylanders is a pass.- Video Game Talk

I hate to break it to fans of the sport but NASCAR 09 is not the be-all and end-all video game experience. This year's edition is decent but it doesn't stand out in any way and it doesn't really raise the bar of expectations.- Video Game Talk

For a team based shooter, I'd say it's on par with the entertainment value of the early Battlefield games like 1942. In the end, you have to weigh how much value the multiplayer is going to be for you. If you love alternate reality shooters, I would say try renting the title before looking for a cheap used copy (assuming you love the team based multiplayer).- Video Game Talk

If you have points to spare, or don't mind plunking down some cold cash to obtain a few, you cannot go wrong with this fun title.- Video Game Talk

Guitar Hero used to be a pitch perfect game. Neversoft has not been able to replicate the level of critical success as Harmonix has, however, and World Tour is another disappointment.- Video Game Talk

Warriors: Legends of Troy is a pretty impressive project from Tecmo-Koei Canada. It features an interesting storyline that provides a great backdrop for a video game, as well as some well-done cutscenes and audio. However, its repetitive gameplay is something that will turn a lot of people off, even if it is more polished than it's ever been.- Video Game Talk

The price point ($29.99) on Super Collapse 3 is on par with regular NDS titles, but it feels like you are getting cheated on the feature set.- Video Game Talk

Give it a shot if you're looking for something fun that can be played in short bursts, though don't expect a masterpiece. For its price, there quite a bit of content. Though a rental period could also suffice.- Video Game Talk

”Avatar: The Game” isn’t one of those rare fantastic tie-ins, but is by no means as haphazard as “Enter the Matrix” or as detached as “Lost: Via Domus.” It’s ultimately an average game due to a fairly solid, cookie cutter campaign and impressive audio/visual presentation.- Video Game Talk

As a fan of role playing games, it pains me to see Two Worlds released in such a haphazard condition. It’s actually an entertaining, rewardingly difficult RPG, unfortunately locked up in a graphical engine wrought with massive problems, containing gameplay riddled with design issues, and features a currently lag-filled multiplayer.- Video Game Talk

If you're a fan of the show, then Afro Samurai is definitely a game you should take the time to play. It may lack polish in a few key parts, and it may be shorter than we'd like, but the fact of the matter is that the game is a blast.- Video Game Talk

Something tells me that another 6 months to a year of development time on Tron: Evolution could have brought a truly amazing game, but unfortunately the rushed development cycle to match the movie's release strikes again and the half-assed gameplay is the result of that.- Video Game Talk

While the actual workouts offered are pretty intense and could certainly help you stay or get healthy, there's little reason to use this on a Wii, as there's no tracking via a Wii-mote or accessory.- Video Game Talk

Overall, Nintendogs + Cats offers nothing substantially new for those familiar with the previous titles. It's a shame, because this series could really shine on the 3DS, if Nintendo were willing to put in the effort.- Video Game Talk
