EA's biggest problem with Madden NFL Football is that it insults fans of the series by only offering a shell of the NFL game they love, but while charging them the price of a full featured release. Truthfully, this game is worth about 50% to 75% less than what EA is currently charging. Just look at Madden 11 for the iPhone, a version with a similar feature set, plus multiplayer, priced at $7.99.- Video Game Talk

NFL Tour is really a game without an identity or purpose. You won’t feel the same visceral excitement from a round of NFL Tour as you do when playing NFL Blitz.- Video Game Talk

This is a sub-par budget title that's pretending to be an AAA game. Shame on Gearbox for wanting their name on this stinking pile of crap! If you do enjoy playing terrible games, please rent instead of purchasing as the publisher doesn't deserve a reward for this.- Video Game Talk

Similar to Fighters Unleashed, the quality of a first generation attempt of a fighting game using motion controls is a dismal failure.- Video Game Talk

If it's not clear by now, I'm not recommending that anyone get suckered into purchasing Sonic Free Riders. It's very clear that Sega did little QA on the final product before shipping it to meet the Kinect launch date and the end product is an absolutely mess.- Video Game Talk

The concept is certainly good, and the design work, in the visuals, level design and music, is impressive, but the implementation just doesn't work the way you'd want it to.- Video Game Talk

While it’s understandable that Nintendo would want to showcase one of their signature characters in a Wii game, it quickly becomes obvious that Donkey Kong Barrel Blast should not have made the jump from the Gamecube.- Video Game Talk

I'm the last person to disparage point and click games, but the pace of this game and the breadth of its challenges do not add up to a fun time for someone who cut their teeth on games like Maniac Mansion.- Video Game Talk

Even more mind-boggling, why would Atari release this pile of drivel when they had such a good thing going with Ghostbusters: The Video Game? It's a crass, extremely rude money grab that's designed to suck $10 out your pocket while simultaneously giving the middle finger to our aging Ghostbusters. I cannot recommend Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime to anyone, even the most dedicated fan.- Video Game Talk

Call of Juarez: The Cartel makes a lot of mistakes. Changing the setting from the wild west to the modern day was the first sign of trouble, but it was by no means the last. The game is, to put it simply, broken. I could only recommend this tedious and tiresome gaming experience to people I hate. For everyone else, give Call of Juarez: The Cartel a wide berth.- Video Game Talk

Warriors: Legends of Troy is a pretty impressive project from Tecmo-Koei Canada. It features an interesting storyline that provides a great backdrop for a video game, as well as some well-done cutscenes and audio. However, its repetitive gameplay is something that will turn a lot of people off, even if it is more polished than it's ever been.- Video Game Talk

This game might not have caused such disappointment if the concept wasn't such an intriguing idea, but when you combine these fun elements, and the game is a) not all that fun to play and b) distinctly limited, people are going to be let down.- Video Game Talk

Yet another game where the concept promises something great, but the execution falls far short. Despite the impressive look, satisfying puzzles and the helpful fail-safe offered by the time travel, the actual effort of manipulating the items around you is more like work than fun, thanks in large part to the awkward controls- Video Game Talk

If you have a kid and are already planning a trip to Six Flags, this is a solid pick-up, as this $25 game has a $30 kid's admission voucher in it (if you go before the end of 2009,) so it's basically like getting the game for free. Just be prepared to hear complaints from a soon-to-be bored child a few days after purchase.- Video Game Talk

On paper, the concept for Mindjack is definitely attractive. It's the execution of the concept that fails miserably due to lackluster gameplay, poor enemy A.I. and a ridiculously silly narrative.- Video Game Talk

The length of the game is completely dependent on your difficulty. If you play on Easy, you can breeze through the entire campaign in 30 to 45 minutes. If you crank it up a bit, you are likely looking at a couple hours of playtime. Unfortunately, the lack of multiplayer extremely hamstrings the replay value.- Video Game Talk

Seriously, EA?! Why do you insist in crapping all over the franchise during its final hours? The game takes about 5 to 7 hours to complete, but frustration kicks in after the first 20 minutes of play.- Video Game Talk

A game based solely on introducing the hacking mini-games was a terrible idea. Add in the terrible narrative, atrocious graphics and complete lack of replay value to get one of the worst prequels I've ever played.- Video Game Talk

As the title is completely free, you should ask yourself different questions related to value. For instance, "Is the title worth the 17.5 seconds it will take to download it?" That's a tough one. You could take out the trash in that amount of time, a much more rewarding task than playing Yaris.- Video Game Talk
