Atelier Lulua is up there with the best that the series has to offer. Although it doesn't do anything exceptionally unique, it's an enjoyable and rewarding adventure set in such a memorable and charming world that you'll find it hard to put down.

After playing Super Cloudbuilt for many hours with my eyes straining to stay focused on the non-stop parkour action, I can say that I don't mind needing to up my glasses prescription. Its awesome graphical style and addictive albeit very difficult gameplay is a blast.

Even with all of the huge AAA games flooding the shelves, Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns manages to provide an addictive formula that'll easily hold your attention for longer than most big budget titles and it's a heck of a lot of fun, too.

Moving Out's greatest aspect is its cheerful and humorous game world followed by its easy to pick up and play gameplay. In other words, if you're looking for a challenging co-op experience, you won't find that here but you will find a silly easy breezy lighthearted romp.

Fashion Police Squad is up there with my favourite first-person shooters thanks to its jam-packed gameplay formula that's set in one entertaining world. Best of all, though, is that it's a genuinely good game that far outlasts any of its gimmicks.

Overall, point and click adventure games don't get much more charming or enjoyable than Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos is simply one of the best roguelikes out there so if you enjoy Zelda-style games, you won't regret it.

Party games don't get much simpler than What The Dub?! yet its hilarious moments make it a must-have for those who love to laugh.

Under Defeat is such a challenging explosion-filled shoot 'em up that it's hard to put it down, especially with its distinct modes and helicopters to pilot. Throw in flashy visuals and a great soundtrack and you have one radical arcade shooter.

Gunbrella is one of those indies that presents such a clever combo of fun gameplay elements that it's an easy title to recommend.

When it comes to accessible 2D fighting, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] is a worthwhile game that's sure to provide hours of enjoyable combat. Just don't expect any big surprises if you already played the original game.

Atomik: RunGunJumpGun features a mind-blowing presentation and challenging gameplay that's easy to learn. However, that gameplay doesn't really go anywhere exciting and the overall experience ends up feeling quite lacking as a result.

If you take pride in showing off your 2D platforming skills then Never Give Up will be a perfect fit for your gaming library.

This PS4 iteration of Trails of Cold Steel II is such an impressive improvement over the PS3 version that it's worth picking up a copy even if you already own it on PS3. Plus, the Relentless Edition physical extras will feel right at home for fans of the series.

CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII- REUNION is one of the best remasters out there thanks to its complete presentational overhaul and when you have such a great base game to work with, you're left with an action RPG that even rivals modern examples of the genre.

I thoroughly enjoyed John Wick Hex's truly clever gameplay concepts but the fashion in which it executes them could use a lot of fine-tuning in order for it to reach the heights of the top-notch film franchise that it's based on.

A mixed bag. The Dark Descent's puzzles can be frustrating but overall, it's an excellent and engrossing horror experience. Justine is very short and rather throwaway while A Machine for Pigs is a big step down in quality from the original.

Whether you're in it for the story or just the shoot 'em up action via the super-fun arcade mode then you'll certainly dig Kamikaze Lassplanes.

It's amazing that a pinball game featuring just one table could be as consistently exciting as XENOTILT is so definitely check it out, chum.

I absolutely recommend Andro Dunos 2 for any shoot 'em up fan. It may not be the most intricate or challenging example of the genre but its tight gameplay will push you to master the many enjoyable boss fights while taking in some impressive sights along the way.

Its memorable cast of characters and refined gameplay make it a fantastic experience that ties up the Dusk trilogy wonderfully.

If you're a new player looking for your next strategy game fix, you definitely can't go wrong with Sid Meier's Civilization VII. However, other than the ages system, I'm hard-pressed to think of what I'm excited about in this new entry when I could just play the previous installment.

If you want to play a simplistic game while laughing at an unfortunate protagonist then Dandy Dungeon will surely fit the bill.

I enjoyed Have A Nice Death a great deal and I'm sure you will, too, especially if you love roguelikes and combat-heavy 2D action.

The wacky corporate world of Good Job! is so much fun to play around within that I highly recommend it to any sandbox puzzler fan.

Life is Strange 2 takes the familiar formula and delivers it on a grander scale while tackling difficult topics across the USA. If you're playing it for the story, you won't be disappointed but don't expect much from the gameplay.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden surpassed my expectations thanks to its incredible sense of exploration, gripping story, and gorgeously-presented characters. Sure, it's easy but the adventure is still well-worth going on for any curious ghost hunters out there.

Classic game compilations don't get much better than SNK 40th Anniversary Collection. Its selection of games, well done presentation, and oodles of cool features and extras make it a must-have compilation for any retro gamer.
