It’s always great to see strategy games being released on console. Ancestors Legacy is a deep and challenging title, and one of the not-so-many games of this genre available on these platforms.

Headspun tries to merge several genres in one game. On paper, the idea might have worked, but when you actually play it you see its shortcomings. However, it’s a good option if you’re looking for something experimental.

Knights and Bikes is a charming adventure, particularly enjoyable in coop. We’ve had a good time with it, but there isn’t much depth, challenge or innovation so, at the end of the day, you’ll want to play it for its charm.

Yakuza 3 isn’t the best entry, but it’s great to have it available on newer systems with all the content we previously lost in the West. If you like the series, don’t miss it out.

WRC 8 is a solid simulator, and it feels like a step forward from the previous entry. We miss more polished physics and some new modes, but any WRC fan will have a great time with it.

Dungeon-based roguelite fans have a new adventure they should add to their library. The core gameplay isn’t very original, but its coop mode, its elaborate narrative and its great setting make it very, very interesting.

The original FF VIII was a masterpiece full of imperfections, and so is this remaster. There are some “quality of life” additions and minor visual enhancements, but its magic still remains.

Blair Witch is a decent adventure… with an absolutely perfect ending. When Bloober Team do what they do best, it turns into a horror masterpiece, but you’ll need to endure a few hours of less inspired exploration to get to enjoy this. It is worth it, though.

We loved it when it fist came out, and we still love it today. The core of Full Body is the same, but new additions and changes to the storyline are a good reason to go back to this unique adventure.

If you miss SNES’ beat ‘em ups, well, this is your lucky day. The Ninja Saviors is a great action game, and yet another example of this genre that seems to be coming back.

Wreckfest is an absolute blast. The physics, the crazy trials, and that Destruction Derby feeling make it a must-have for those who ever enjoyed Psygnosis’ franchise or, more recently, the Flatout series.

Telling Lies expands the concept seen in Her Story, and it does a great job. We think its predecessor did a better job overall, but if you like to feel like a detective, take notes and uncover the truth, make sure you give it a try.

Oninaki has great ideas, and it is overall a really good experience, but it falls short in some aspects like its combat system. We like what Tokyo RPG Factory is doing, and we hope it continues to offer experiences like this.

Remnant is a game meant to be played with a friend, as this is when how its concept truly shines. There are some shortcomings, however, it’s a solid effort for a team like this.

Decay of Logos offers an interesting idea, mixing some elements from the Souls series and even Breath of the Wild. There are some issues, mostly because of its humble budget, but we’ve enjoyed it, and we think players looking for a challenge will enjoy it too.

Man of Medan is exactly what we expected: a less ambitious take on the Until Dawn concept. There are some technical issues that should’ve been polished, but overall is a great experience, and considering there aren’t many titles like this (if any), it’s definitely worth your time.

Ancestors develops an incredibly ambitious idea, and to some extend, it does achieve its purpose. There are moments that are simply incredible, although its repetitive mechanics get in the way often that we would’ve liked.

Astral Chain is a must-have for Switch users. We are absolutely in love with its concept and design, and it proves, once again, how PlatinumGames are the masters of this genre.

Remedy is back, and they’re doing what they do best: great gunplay, complex narrative and, this time, a less linear world. It has its flaws, but fans of the studio will love it.

Erica does some things really well, like giving you choices that really have an impact on the story. However, it all feels a little bit rushed, and answers come before you have time to ask questions.

This is a low-effort adaptation, but the games are fantastic. We don’t love some of the ideas introduced in the second entry, but both titles have created a new subgenre, and having them available on Switch is great news.

Fatal Bullet isn’t the best entry in this franchise, but it is a very enjoyable game. On top of that, we get a couple of interesting new features for the Switch, which makes it a good addition for Nintendo’s hybrid console.

Although it’s not the most popular genre at the moment, there are many shoot ‘em up fans out there, and Vasara Collection is a great title for them. After all, Vasara is a little piece of video game history.

RAD doesn’t really bring anything new to the table, although if you like the genre, we’re sure you’ll enjoy its sense of humor, its gameplay and its visual style.

Petoons Party is a game to play with your family. It’s one of those titles meant to be enjoyed by parents and children, who would be able to forgive its slow pace or repetitiveness.

Yes, Anodyne 2 is weird, but it’s also very charming and unique. We think it’s worth a try, but make sure you understand its concept and you approach it with an open mind.

Planetfall is a great 4X that shines because of its combat and strategy systems. If you like Age of Wonders or just the genre, make sure you check it out.

If you like old-school shooters, you can’t miss this one. It’s the true successor of Duke Nukem, and even with its flaws, it’s an absolute blast.
