However, its simple platforming and puzzles, alongside a broader lack of genre innovation, prevent it from truly breaking new ground.

It's exactly what a karting game should be, using the F1 license to appeal a wider audience. It's not the best karting game out there, but showing no weaknesses is a great reason to give it a try.

Prototype 2 evolves all the good elements from the original, as if it were the Mercer virus. It still lacks something that would make it a superb game, but it is on the way: lots of action and exploration, a slight bit of stealth and a whole city to bring chaos to.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes successfully pays homage to classic JRPGs with its deep storytelling and engaging combat, reminiscent of Suikoden. While its retro-inspired graphics charm, technical issues and lack of optimization somewhat tarnish the experience, it remains a must-play for fans of the genre.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a formidable reconstruction that is absolutely faithful to the original games, which includes the additions that were made in different versions, adding even more aspects to make it a very enjoyable RPG today. Due to the high fidelity with respect to the classic, its conventions and a very purist style of play are maintained, something that is aimed especially at veterans. In any case, it is an excellent entry point to discover the Dragon Quest license, and it is important to play it in case in the future you want to be encouraged to discover its narrative sequel, which we will have next year with Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake.

If you liked the original, this sequel is as addictive as the first game was. If you never tried it and your Xbox One is in need of some arcade games, this is one of the best choices at the moment.

Dead or Alive 6 isn’t revolutionary, and we miss some bigger changes in the roster, but we’ve had a great time with it and we think fans of the series will too.

If you like a multiplayer FPS where realism and tactic battle comes first, you should give this a try. Keep in mind it's very demanding, so make sure that you're ready for a challenge.

Sumo Digital has done a great job with the franchise, taking a big step forward in the right direction. A game any LBP fan should play.

Even though it has aged well, there are some aspects that don't feel that good today. Still, it's an experience worth enjoying, with 50+ hours of fun ahead.

Resident Evil 3 is a great remake, even if not a very ambitious one. It lacks content, and it even feels like a wasted opportunity to create something bigger that expanded the original story. It is, however, a fantastic horror/action adventure with incredible visuals that builds upon the solid foundations of its predecessor, and its multiplayer mode definitely adds a few more hours of fun.

As unique and original as Crypt of the NecroDancer, but set in the world of Zelda. It’s easily one of the best spin-offs of the franchise, and one of those games everyone should, at least, try.

Darkest Dungeon is one of those games that will test your determination, but if you invest your time and patience, you'll be greatly rewarded. Once you're in, it's really hard to leave.

WWE fans will find here the best wrestling game 2K has ever published, with a more polished gameplay and nice additions like the Showcase mode. However, it doesn’t seem to try and fix some of the series long-running issues that fans have been complaining about.

This updated version of the classic RPG features significantly improved graphics, atmospheric lighting, and a modernized UI, while retaining the charm and depth of its original world. However, it inherits the same bugs and design flaws from 2006 and suffers from technical issues like poor performance and frequent loading, making it a nostalgic but imperfect experience.

It has more changes than last year's and it's on the right track, but still far from what we all desire.

You might feel there aren't enough additions to justify that "II" in the title, but it is a very solid game anyway, and if you enjoyed the first one, we're sure you'll enjoy this sequel.

We've never seen a platformer like this work so well. Original and challenging, it deserves an opportunity if you like the genre.

Like a Dragon is a great adventure, that even with its flaws, manages to bring new ideas to the series and make it feel fresh and new without losing its essence.

This is the original game plus the expansion reasonably priced, so if you missed them when they were released, you've got now a great opportunity to enjoy this open-world RPG.

The minigames that take advantage of mouse mode are notable, and we would have liked to see more that took advantage of the camera and microphone. Despite all this, it's a highly recommended game, as if it was already comprehensive, it's even more so now, adding a touch of experimentation and novelty especially suitable for those who haven't tried the game (or want to expand it, which may also be worthwhile). If you want a long-lasting, high-quality party game, this is the spot you should definitely check out.

Doom is the perfect mix of the classic and the modern shooters. Fun, frenetic and wild, Doom delivers pure, old school action.

As a driving game, Forza Motorsport is fantastic, but the lack of content and even ambition after a six-year break makes the return a bit more overwhelming than we expected.
