The only negative is a slightly too easy difficulty, and perhaps this is why I get so much game for free.

Silverfish is a well presented arcade avoid em' up that plays very well. If you are a fan of other games of the genre you will probably enjoy this quite a lot. If you are completely new to the genre it might seem both confusing, and too hard to grasp.

The word 'design' is at the heart of why I love Bad Piggies, I honestly felt in many levels that I was not simply discovering the developers' solution. Rather, I felt that I had designed my own. The developers placed intelligent limits on the player's independence, but give the player enough room to feel ownership of their accomplishment.

Inferno+ improves upon the original from Xbox Live, but on iOS it has much more competition than on console. The formula has been tried, tested, patented, and Inferno+ is certainly one of the better when it comes to execution.

It's too early to claim the puzzle game of 2010, but any contender will have a challenge on their hands. Cogs takes it's place side by side with Zen Bound and iBlast Moki as examples of the best of the best out there right now.

Polara is a fresh entry in the endless runner genre featuring a quick, and clever colour-shifting mechanic. Slow to start, but once you get to harder levels the game becomes hard to put away. At that point the lack of graphical flair doesn't matter, and I can only do one thing: keep running. And yes, die.

Bad Hotel is a hard game, and there are some really harsh levels that demand quick decisions and movements. I found the more relaxed early levels to be more suitable to the colorful presentation, and quirky story.

On the one hand you have a great thrill ride of a game, but on the other a disappointing core FPS experience due to poor AI and the almost on-rails linear feel.

A short somewhat easy twin stick shooter. The cuteness factor combined with instant playability and varied levels still make it one of the most fun games to play in the genre.

Great graphics, audio and gamelife paired with workable controls make for a great experience not to be missed.

The slow pace of the game limits the appeal of an otherwise well presented game.

Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes missed out on a major opportunity with its iPad release. An otherwise fantastic puzzle RPG with decent story, CoH on the iPad lacks the level of polish of the original Nintendo DS release. I have come down hard on the quality of this port, but if you can't play CoH elsewhere don't miss the opportunity to enjoy it.

iBomber Defense might not blow anyone away in terms of being new and creative, but it definitely shines as one of the most fun strategy games out there.

A great racing game. It has a couple of minor flaws, but nothing gamebreaking. The social sharing hooks after every race can be a little annoying, and they delay the time getting to the next race. Still, slight problems aside, fans of racing games will enjoy the total package offered in Asphalt 7 Heat.

As a JRPG style experience with some callbacks to Dungeons and Dragons, Knights of Pen and Paper excels. Just don't expect the full pen and paper experience.

Uplink is a classic that works really well on the iPad. I still prefer playing it on a PC though, as it connects closer to the subject matter. At times the game feels a bit too real, and too serious and I really just want to disconnect. This is the main problem with this kind of game: it takes commitment, and can't be played casually.

Dungeon Hunter 2 gets my full recommendation, and it is one of the best most playable games for 2010 in my opinion.

Zombie Infection is a great action game from start to finish. Sure, the story is uninspired and the voice acting is terrible, but the core gameplay is some of the best fun I've had with an action title on iPhone.

Pool Pro Online 3 then is really for multiplayer junkies only. The game does have a solid single player experience, and it is advised you check it out for a bit of practice before hitting online, but without a career mode and other options, it falls short of other single player pool games on the AppStore.

I have to rate the game separately when it comes to the single player, and multiplayer experience. The difference is huge, and if I give it a combined rating it might go un-noticed, as it is one of the best same device simultaneous multiplayer games released for iOS to date. It is a shame that the single player campaign isn't as rewarding.

If you like it, and can live without a linear level structure you have almost unlimited game life ahead of you. If you on the other hand want a clear goal with the game you owe it to yourself to at least play the free portion to sample this new exciting game developer.
